Comfortable room and friendly staff and it is good value when compared with the budget chains. However, Relaxinnz are marketing this as a boutique hotel which it isn't and this is reflected in the price. The rooms are quite tired and need updating and there is little information about the hotel and its service including mealtimes in the guide left in each room. Evening food is overpriced but the hot food at breakfast is excellent. What a pity this is spoilt by plastic glasses for fruit juice and all cereals, preserves etc pre-packaged which is more like the budget chains! This will not stop us visiting again in future as we like the location but the marketing strategy needs re-thinking.

Room Tip: Some of the rear rooms overlook the car park but also have a river view.

Stayed 2 nights in room 18. Great room, great views. Highly recommend the friendliness of staff, very comfortable hotel, and the food second to none......We found the hotel was very homely and comfortable.

Stayed here with my daughter after a show at 3 counties showground. From the start the place was perfect - very friendly welcome, comfortable room and lovely old building. We were in room 3 which is on the first floor. Breakfast (included in the price) was excellent - full English for me and Eggs benedict for my daughter. Very reasonably priced. Thoroughly recommend.

My husband and I loved this place, as soon as we walked in we were met by Pam the Manager. She showed us to our room and we were very pleased with the outlay of our room which was room 8. The outside of this building as well as inside was kept in the times of Tudor. The staff were very friendly and happy to help us, and that reflected upon the customers were happy too. The food was A star rating everything well presented and cooked from scratch. Portions of the food were plenty. We only stayed for 1 night but, will return again. Parking to rear of the property which was not a problem. Many thanks to Kirk who was very attentive to us and Pam Excellent service. Next time we will book a long weekend. Many Thanks Tracy and Ian Davies. Xxx

The facade is beautiful and inside is quirky and follows the theme of the outside.
I stayed on two separate nights and the rooms I got (for the same prices) were very different. One had a large double bed, significant space and a large bathroom. The second was very small, had twin beds and a small shower room.
Breakfast was limited and does not compete with other pubs that I have stayed in.

Room Tip: check the room size as they vary considerably.
