It's a pleasant walk especially the courtyard with the cemetery where some famous people are buried.

“Tranquil”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 6, 2013

Beautiful Church in the middle of Tewkesbury. There is an abundance of history to explore if you have the inclination, or you can just sit and absorb the air of peace and calm. The best thing for me was the stained glass, some of which was magnificent. In particular, there is a relatively new window (2002) by Thomas Denny which took my breath away and is quite possibly one of the most beatiful works of art I have seen. Apparently it costs £5.00 per minute to maintain the Abbey (£2,628,000 per year) which explains why there are donation 'opportunities' in abundance!!

“British history at its best”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 20, 2013

We had a stroll around Tewkesbury and discovered this little gem.Plenty of history attached to this place. We had the added pleasure of listening to the Birmingham city choir rehearsing for a performance in the evening .Lovely grounds to walk around plus a little cafe and toilets.
