We thoroughly enjoyed our brief stay. We were made very welcome by the very obliging hosts Lisa and John. Bedrooms are finished to a very high standard. Everything is laid out beautifully and feels fresh and clean.Breakfast was very comprehensive with a choice of just about anything one could wish a breakfast to be. The lack of an en suit is compensated by the beautiful and quiet surroundings.
The gardens are really beautiful and well tended with lake, streams and waterfalls. The village is also picture perfect, and long may it remain.
We will certainly be revisiting.

What a beautiful stay our family have just experienced at Silver Rill. The approach to the house is in very pretty Overbury, filled with country houses built from limestone. The setting is truly gorgeous. We chose this b&b for 3 reasons: it was within easy (car) reach of many Cotswolds' places of interest; it welcomes children and it offers luxury for the whole family. It ticked every box and many more.

From our immediate arrival we were greeted as friends by our hosts followed by a tour around the garden, which took a good 20 minutes as there was so much to see - beautiful greenery, flowers, trees, waterfall, bridges accompanied all the while with the trickling sound of water from the crysal clear stream which runs right through the garden. Photographs can't quite capture it all. It truly is magical.

After the tour, we went back into the lounge to find Lisa had provided us with fresh cup cakes and drinks. What a lovely touch. Lisa then took us to our room and we were bowled over. We had chosen the Overbury Suite which boasted a 7ft x 6ft bed for we parents, with a separate large twin bedroom for our son and daughter. The rooms were linked by a small, private hallway where we also found our private bathroom and separate toilet. This was perfect for us as we felt we had privacy yet reassurance that our children were only next door within this self-contained area of the house. The rooms also had china crockery, refreshment making facilities, luxury biscuits, bath robes & slippers and quality bath products to pamper yourself with. There was so much, it was hard to take it all in. When we returned to the lounge, Lisa had laid out some chocolate brownies too! Talk about feeling spoiled rotten!

The breakfast was very generous. It started with orange juice and a variety of teas or coffee. There was plenty of toast and the full english breakast was very generous and tasy. We loved the sausages. The service was so attentive. Our children found the hosts' 3 children delightful and enjoyed chatting and giggling with them.

Silver Rill is such a romantic, quiet place. There are only 3 bedrooms, so although the house is very large it should retain that intimate family feel. The decor is impeccable and cleverly blends old and new. I definately want to come back again. Price-wise, we found Silver Rill on laterooms.com for £130 for the suite which just suited our budget. This is exceptional value for a family of four and I can understand why the usual tariff is £180 per night.

We stayed at Silver Rill House whilst we were attending a local wedding and Lisa & John could not have been more welcoming. The house has recently had a complete refurbishment and has been very tastefully decorated; it is set in fantastic grounds - (I often think that the photos on websites are trying to find the very best angle) but the photographs on the Silver Rill website are true to form, it really is that picturesque!

The rooms were very comfortable with lots of little touches i.e. fresh flowers, lovely bone china tea cups, lots of fresh fruit and all very peaceful. It is a great place for relaxing as there are no TV's in the bedrooms (just fantastic views) but if you do want to watch your unmissable programme there is a lovely guest sitting room with large TV and lots of space for sitting and relaxing.

The breakfast was absolutely delicious - lots of choice and Lisa and John were totally un phased by us all wanting different variations of breakfast!! It was the perfect way (complete with the papers) to start the day and totally reflected our entire stay - Lisa and John ensured that everyone was happy and doing everything they could to make our visit as enjoyable as possible.

I would highly recommend Silver Rill House with Lisa & John; it is a great base for visiting the Cotswolds, a romantic weekend or as quiet base for working in the area. I would most definitely return.
