We are a family of 6 with 4 kids 10 and under. We rented "Dairy Cottage" for a week in early July and it's been the best family holiday we've had.
The cottage itself is located in private grounds with 5 or 6 other cottages. The cottage is advertised as child friendly and in my experience that is exactly what it is. With 4 kids I'm always worried that someone complains about them playing but they were free to run about in the grounds without any problem. There's plenty of room and various things to keep them occupied. We used the swimming pool every day for an hour. There is a charge for the pool however. There's also trampolines, a small swing park, badminton/volleyball net and a full size Wendy House with various toys.
Inside the cottage the three bedrooms all sleep 2 and each bedroom has it's own toilet and shower. All the usual home comforts are available, washing machine, driers, dishwasher, WiFi and Freeview TV. The kitchen is well kitted out and there's also a dining room that we didn't actually use.
The surrounding area is lovely. The cottage is situated in it's own private grounds surrounded by fields giving it that quiet countryside feel. Bredon, however, is a 5 minute walk. Although there's not a lot to do there we did use the Spar shop a fair bit and had a lovely meal in The Fox and Hounds Pub. Tewkesbury is a 10-minute drive and has everything you need.
Highlights of the trip were visits to Sudeley Castle, The Roman Villa, Model Village in Bourton on the Water and the excellent Cattle Country Park. Kids absolutely loved this.
Another bonus is that it's not that far off the motorway, maybe 10-15 mins.
We'll definitely be back to The Moretons in the years to come.
