A group of eight of us had an evening meal whilst staying on the campsite nearby. The food was excellent, with plenty of choice, good size portions, and delicious to eat. Very good value for money, around 25 pounds a head for three courses plus drinks. Best of all were the staff who were all cheerful, friendly and helpful and really made the evening special.

Visited last Sunday for the craft fair and car boot that was only a stand for animal welfare and a stand for junk. The advertised BBQ did not exist. My wifes hunt the prawn roll was soggy with all the cocktail sauce poured on it, The accompaning salad was ok but the mound of tortilla chips were like cardboard and inedible. My homemade soup was tinned heinz tomatoe and served with just the bottom have of a dried up brown roll. We will not be returning.

Staying nearby in our caravan within walking distance just about over bank holiday weekend. This pub had a sausage and cider festival on so real ales were limited to just one. The wine I had Shiraz was excellent. We chose our meal and there was no problem with me requesting just veg with my tender strips of liver and bacon. Presentation of the food was great and staff really friendly. Wide choice of food on the menu including fresh fish dishes and tapas as well as the usual.also have takeaway option of fish and chips. We also met the chef and his wonderful dog out in the car park. The chef had just finished cooking and was having a well earned break. The locals were welcoming too and we visited several times over the weekend. Will certainly visit again if we are in the area. A winning formula!

We stumbled upon this pub whilst driving out looking for food and we knew nothing of it before entering. We got lucky. The pub was beautiful from the outside and was nicely kept inside. When we arrived there was a quiet, local bingo night going on. We were greeted by a very friendly member of staff who served our drinks and took our food order. I ordered the "Bad Boy" burger and my wife ordered the fish & chips. Both were reasonably priced, freshly made, served hot and very tasty. Due to the nature of how we found the pub it was too dark to properly explore the village, but it looked very picturesque. A good find.
