“Premier Inn - Did the job for us :)”

As a newly built hotel we didn't know what to expect. We stayed here the night before having a day at Drayton manor. Very clean & tidy. The var was family friendly although was waiting a while at times to be seated, served etc - hence my low score for service. Overall lovely stay and cheap at that too. Would stay again :)

Well lets start with the fact it's a new hotel it's clean bright and of course new, staff on arrival were very polite and it was maybe the fastest check in I've had at a premier inn. View from the room not desirable, room 519 overlooking the retail park and a mix of wasteland and car park that cost me £8.00 for the 24 hrs but tbh it is direct to the hotel. There's a frankie and bennys straight over from the hotel and a nandos opening soon and Starbucks and costa within minutes away. The room it's self was spotless and very quite the same premier inn standard I love. All in all top hotel but I think I'd only use it if I was in walsall on business during the week or if I was using at the weekend but knowing the local area I'd maybe give weekends a miss.

Nice Premier inn up to the usual good standard even better with it being new, the only downside is the parking me and the girlfriend stayed for 4 nights and in total for two cars we spent £64 needless to say we were less than pleased and weren't that confident the cars were still going to be there - so it was abit of an uncomfortable nights sleep but as it happened they were still there in the morning, but apart from that it was a nice stay and the restaurant was great and good value.

Lets start with the parking. We stayed for two nights here and the parking charge for 48hrs was £16 I've no idea why anyone would build a hotel without car parking. The hotel itself is new and the rooms are very good (we had a family room) the good nights sleep guarantee is not in danger of being caught out. The check in procedure was smooth and the receptionist was very helpful. The receptionist later on though when we were asking about restaurants near the hotel was less than helpful. Maybe they are trained to promote the brewers fayre within the hotel but I don't believe she didn't know any other restaurants in the area. Overall we had a very good stay here and if it hadn't been for the parking charges I would have given it a five star rating

New hotel opened in (December 2012) i believe. Staff very friendly and helpful. Brewers Fayre attached to hotel, nice food & reasonable price. Five minutes walk to town shops.
Parking road level next to hotel ( only downside is £8 for 24 hour parking). Some rooms have view of canal (nice to sit outside with a drink in the summer).
Well worth a visit!
We paid £29 excellent value.

Stayed for one night in April 2013. Check in was an absolute pain with a chap working hard on a cheap laptop to register your stay. Access to the main part of the hotel (such as it was) was through a security door for which you needed your room access card. Not exactly the best customer experience. Room was to the usual Premier Inn standard - I.e. good but the same as every other Premier Inn. There is a pub as part of the complex (Brewers Fayre) and a Frankie & Bennys directly opposite. There is a public car park next to the hotel (£5 overnight) but being in the town centre, I was not entirely confident that my car would be still be there or in the same condition in the morning - however it was fine as it happened.

PS. don't be influenced by this being a 'waterfront' hotel - it really isn't at all pretty!
