Premier Inn Watford (Croxley Green) Hotel

10 minute walk to Croxley train station then aprox 15 minute train ride to London made this premier inn ideal to visit London. The only thing I would ensure next time is that our room is not on the same side as the pub next door, as smokers and if a warm night drinkers can disturb your sleep ! other than that would defo visit again.

A nice stay lovely bright airy rooms - spotlessly clean.

Very very warm and although a fan was provided we couldn't cool the room down, however reception told us that air conditioning is going to be installed.

Restaurant next door with good quality well priced food. Great surroundings in restaurant and a well stocked plentiful breakfast.

Nice quiet neighborhood but with quick access to the motorway and several bus stops and a short walk to Underground stations and a few restaurants. A little longer but healthy walk into central Watford. Good access for taking the family to Cassiobury Park. Overall good stay with a little noise from patrons outside the pub below, but the manager helped to quiet them down. Great breakfasts.

Room Tip: Smoke from the patrons outside the pub was noticeable in rooms on the northwest side.

Even though its used a lot more by families since Harry Potter arrived in Watford the hotel has coped fantasitcally with having more children aorund and the noise levles within the hotel are managed very well. Its clean, staff are friendly and the food is cheap and cheerful :) the minted lamb is my favourite

We spent the night here after the challenge cup final and have got to say I cannot find anything to complain about. We arrived too early for check in but were able to leave our car in the car park. The girl on reception rang a taxi to take us to the tube station and on our return they were very helpful with our check in. The room was great for the one night's stay. Very comfortable bed with clean bathroom and nice hot shower and towels.

Stayed here on Friday 23rd August 2013 and whilst we booked the room several weeks ago for the bargain price of £29.00, we found the heat within our room totally unbearable. We were on the 2nd floor and the room was occupied by 4 of us. We requested sheets for the bed to replace the duvets provided which had no effect at all and had two fans running constantly throughout the night and had the window open but with no relief. The room temperature displayed 27 degrees on going to bed and 29 degrees in the morning! The staff were lovely and provided us with the sheets and additional fans but there was little else that could be done. The bathroom was unbearable as there was no way to cool this room down at all so suffice it to say we spent as little time in there as possible. On the upside, the staff were lovely and helpful. The breakfast area was extremely busy the next morning but the food was still plentiful and the the wait for a table no more than a couple of minutes. The breakfast was up to the usual Premier Inn standards so no complaints there at all. Car parking was free which one of the other reasons why we chose this Premier Inn as opposed to others within the Watford area.
On check out the next morning, we discussed our issues with the receptionist and without any hassle we were advised that our money would be refunded under their Good Night guarantee. As our stay was only a few days ago, I can't confirm that this has been done as yet.
If there had been air conditioning in the room I would not hesitate to award an excellent rating but due to the unbearable heat, it has only received an average rating. The price for a family of four for us was £29.00 which was brilliant value. There is a lot going for the Premier Inns and I wouldn't hesitate to stay in one again or even this one (if they had air con or when the weather is a bit cooler perhaps).

We stayed here as a visit to London (£28 for family of 3 to get the train to Euston from Watford Junction). Great position for this but felt a bit jail like. Room was standard Premier Inn - very hot though. Staff very helpful and able to advise in travel etc.
