I had to stay here for five nights to conduct business in Watford. My husband accompanied me It was an excellent value for money hotel and the room was a good size and well furnished for a budget hotel. However, reading the previous reviews I can only think Housekeeping had a lapse. Three nights out of the five Housekeeping only left one set of towels and I had to go to Reception to ask for another set. This may seem like a minor problem, but when you have been out and busy all day, have climbed into a hot bath (another great advantage of Premier Inns are the baths!) to relax, this is the last thing you need. Also, the room looked a bit grubby in the evening, as if Housekeeping had not bothered too much besides making the bed. There were bits of fluff and dust on the floor every evening. The pub restaurant is excellent with good food and good service. I did not have breakfast at the hotel, so cannot comment on that. The location is brilliant, parking facilities excellent, and I would definitely recommend this hotel.

The best hotel i have stayed in for a while, the staff where all excellent, the hotel was above all else clean, and well kept, serviced with a good resturant and bar dinner and breakfast where both to a good standard, better than some 4/5 star hotels i have stayed in london and for not alot of money, fantastic, the only problem is they set the bar high for the next premier inn stay!

I have stayed here a number of times, and every time I am very pleased with the level of service I receive from staff, the quality and clenliness of the room, and the value for money. My most recent stay, on Sept 6, was as good as all the others. Breakfast was well cooked, hot, and served quickly after my order.

Good hotel to stay if you want to visit London but not pay London hotel prices, as Watford Central Station is only a couple of minutes away in a taxi trains running into London every couple of minutes.

Wow. What a fantastic hotel. Located just off the motorway. Easy access to London. Ample free car parking facilities. Room was very large and surprisingly equipped with a king-sized bed. Large, really clean bathroom with bath and shower. Very pleasant staff. Couldn't ask for more for £29.

Room Tip: We were in room 202. Huge room with a king sized bed and large bathroom with bath & shower faci...

My husband, myself and two children (8 and 12) stayed here last week for 3 nights (Sat, Sun, Mon). We considered staying in one of the London city centre PremierInns (or similarly priced chains) or closer but they were too expensive and we assumed too noisy. Plus city centre hotels either had no parking facilities or parking facilities that were very expensive.

We availed of a saver price and got 3 nights for under £100 which we considered very good value. The hotel is near a busy road that basically circles the entire hotel (i.e. there is no "quiet" side. However, with both windows shut the noise is minimal. This is fine if it isn't hot but it was during our stay. The hotel provided fans in all the rooms (as there is no central air) so we found that more than adequate to deal with the heat (though the noise took some time for the kids to get used to).

The hotel is within 5 minutes walking distances of the London overground train (40 minutes directly into Euston station). A day Travel Pass for 2 adults, 12 year old and 8 year old was £22. That included all travel to and from Watford and within zones 1-8 in London. Basically, the cost of hotel and travel pass (which we would have had to buy in London anyway) was still significantly cheaper than staying in city centre hotel. There is an underground station in Watford (Watford Junction) that only takes 20 minutes into Euston but it is a 20 minute walk from the hotel and costs more. So the 5 minute walk and comfortable 40 minute train journey was preferable. Note that you have to walk up a rather steep hill to get into town.

Watford is a very nice, clean town with a good shopping district. We spent our first evening there and had a lovely time.

The family rooms are very small and the children's beds are pulled out from under the main bed (which is actually two twin beds, put together). There is very little room to move when the beds are pulled out and difficult not to step on them when getting out of main bed. Also one of the children's beds is very close to the bathroom which isn't that pleasant.

We had to request that beds were made up as they weren't the second day.

However, everything was very clean and in good condition. The main bed was very comfortable though the kids complained about their beds.

The breakfast was very good value and excellent quality. The waitress was not helpful with queries regarding my children's food allergies but the manager was extraordinarily helpful and upon subsequent visits all the staff were very helpful. That is a major concern for us when using restaurant\hotel facilities and we were very pleased with the service in the restaurant.

Overall if you are looking for a reasonably priced, family hotel with easy access to Wembley\London this is an excellent hotel. The family rooms are a little cramped but very clean. We got excellent value for the money paid so look out for sale prices. Under £100 for 3 nights this close to London you can't go wrong.
