“Ah! for the peace”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 22, 2013

I have been visiting many times over the last 25 years and use it as somewhere to sit and reflect on my life. The grounds are laid out very well and provide a lovely vista. The manor has an aura about it that seems to embrace you with a feeling of peace. The devotees are not in your face but always ready to engage if you wish to chat. The bakery has the most delicious cheesecake created. A must if you visit.

“George Harrisons gift to the Krishna's”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 21, 2013

Beautiful old English estate given to His Divine Grace A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada by George Harrison. Well maintained by the Krishna's and a very wonderful place for meditation and worship. On the property there is a garden that George helped design, a bakery and cafe, wonderful English gardens, A Goshala with milking cows, and much more. The founder of the Hare Krishna Movement, Srila Prabhupada, enjoyed staying at the Manor and George visited him many times there.

“Peaceful place”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 27, 2012

I'm not religious...but I've been 3 or 4 times to Bhaktivedanta Manor. I love the peaceful ambiance there...it's a beautiful visit and the monks there are very helpful and happy to share their thoughts with you without being pushy.
