Owner description: Topgolf is the premier golf entertainment complex where the competition of sport meets your favourite local bar. You can challenge your friends and family to addictive point-scoring golf games that anyone from the hopeful pro golfer to your neighbour's 7-year-old can play all year-round. Just picture a 240-yard outfield with dartboard-like targets in the ground. The closer to the centre or "bull's-eye" you get and the further you hit your microchipped balls, the more points you get. Score even bigger with Topgolf's extensive food and drink menu that is sure to impress even the pickiest foodies. It's not golf - it's Topgolf.

“golf ideal for kids”

when my children were younger, a TopGolf party was the 'rage' and they thoroughly enjoyed them. In fact my 21 year old still goes there for a game.

“We were probably just unlucky!”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 18, 2014 via mobile

First the positives..The parking is easy. The venue is attractive with a nice bar and seating area.. The golf was really fun..it is not too difficult for even the worst golfer to get a score.
However... It was not possible to book even though we were a relatively big group...we had to arrive very early to guarantee a space. In general the staff were friendly but clearly there were not enough so that when things started to go wrong they couldn't cope. We settled into a booth to start playing and soon discovered the heater wouldn't work,,,,,it was a very rainy night in January...they moved us to another booth with the promise that the score would be transferred....it never happened... We order food...which to be fair was very good ...but two of our party...including a pregnant lady ...waited for over an hour for food.. Despite repeatedly asking...to their credit when we complained they did fetch the manager and refunded the money.
Overall I think we were perhaps a bit unlucky.. But it was a birthday outing so we could have done without the hassle.

“Great place for a couple hours of fun”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 16, 2013

Save yourself the grief of carrying your clubs in the wind and rain on a 9 hole somewhere in Hertfordshire.
Instead, have a sheltered driving range that is competitive and fun to play!

I've been to Top Golf over 10 times I think, three times I've played Unlimited.
It caters for all ages and skill ranges.
Try to hit the short marker, or risk it all going for the 250 yards target (only hit this a couple of times ever!)

A perfect group visit, solo or couple. I highly recommend this as you simply need to swing for the ball and hit something to get points on the board.

I would say that it would be useful for golf tips or hints on swinging the clubs as there are a lot of novices, so even a card next to the screen would be handy.

Food and drink here is decent, cheap and cheerful!

They have recently (in the last year) replaced all their clubs, so even if you don't have your own, it would be more than adequate to use theirs.

“Brilliant afternoon out”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 10, 2013 via mobile

I can't fault top golf, as long as you book in advance it's a fantastic game, very well organised with electronic tagging, and the food is great as well, all in all affordable and fun.
