Description: Watfords Saffron is a popular and sophisticated Indian restaurant serving unusual regional dishes alongside classic curries and just a ten minute walk from the Warner Brothers Harry Potter Studio Tour. The traditional interior, with crisp white tablecloths, dark wooden chairs and white walls decorated with Indian wooden carvings and artworks, is busy with couples and groups in the evenings and increasingly with enthusiastic sightseers keenly dissecting their day spent on the pavements of Hogsmeade. Saffrons menu is a lengthy selection of fine Indian classics from throughout the countrys many and varied culinary regions. Delicately put together by the kitchens skilful team, dishes are distinctive and authentic, spiced the spices ground and mixed freshly each day - and cooked according to tradition whether originating from the sun drenched shores of Goa or from the southern fringes of Bangladesh.

just recieved our takeaway dinner from saffron in courtlands drive, of onion bahji, chicken jalfrezi, and lamb biriani, with 2 chappatis, all i can say is,it was the worst meal i have ever recieved by takeaway, the onion bahjis were the smallest morsals i have ever seen they were like minature meat balls, the chicken jalfrezi was swimming in grease ,not to mention the veg curry with the biriani it contained frozen peas and frozen carrots looked like a mixed veg pack you get from asda, utterl dissapointed and will not get a curry from them again...stay well clear and spend 20 quid on 2 meal deals from m&s.karl b

When we moved not two minutes away from Saffron 3 years ago, we thought this would be like any other local Indian restaurant that the locals used purley because of location and laziness. We couldn't have been more wrong.
The food is delicious, the atmosphere is warm and cosy, always with a friendly greeting. The owner (and all the staff) is so personable, always taking time to say hello and have a chat and is extremely hospitable.
We even went there for Valentine's last year with our 3 month old baby and the staff were fantastic, even offering to re-terilise dropped teething rings!
We were so disappointed to read a negative review about Saffron, we even wondered if they had got the right restaurant as their experience was totally different from every one we have had there. Whenever we have family or friends over, we take them to Saffron (or if we're really lazy, order a takeaway) and everyone has always said what a lovely restaurant it is, and how wonderful the food is.
Can't wait to see you again for more of the same!

I am a regular at saffron. I think it's the best Indian I have tasted. The boss and staff are so lovely. I'm getting married and I'm moving away but I will for sure come here if I want an Indian meal. I've been to all the Indians restaurant around here and they don't compare at all. I feel this is the best place for miles. I hope they open another shop in London.
