My wife and I stayed here for one night. We read the reviews before we came and expected it to be a little dated and in need of makeover. Which was the case as expected.
However what we didn’t expect was the lack of information in relation to the restaurant. No menu on display or in the bar or room. When we went in we were only given the a la carte menu (which was very limited and in addition we were told two of the options were not available.) we thought it was quite expensive for what we had.
The next morning we had breakfast (quite nice). It seems that depending who greets you two services are available. We were told to sit anywhere and help ourselves. Others were shown to their table and offered coffee.
And the most annoying thing - we spotted that there is a fixed menu option for dinner which we were never told about which would have saved us a considerable amount. More
