Holidaying around south east England this Brisbanite family of four were looking for change from the traditional hearty English pub meal. Did a search on the internet for chinese restraurants in the Maidstone area, giving that we were touring near by the next day. The reviews on Tang's were very complimentary regards taste and service and I was not dissappointed. When we arrived early on a Thursday evening we were greated by the very polite restaurant manager. We chose the standard all you can eat menu. The menu was not as limited as usual banquet options and there was plenty of choice. In friendly ordering conversation I told the manager that we were from Australia and had read great reviews of Tang's and were really looking forward to a good chineses meal. The appertisers of vegetarian spring rolls, salt and pepper squid, butterfly prawns, chicken satay skewers and prawn toast were devoured quickly by all ..yum! The mains, crispy chilly beef, sweet and sour pork and chinese green leaves were delicious. Finally to top off our tasty meal at Tang's, the manager surprised us by preparing a free dessert for all 4 of us (lemon sorbet.sitting on lemon granita?) my girls loved it:...such a nice touch. I have no hesitation in recommending this restaurant and into todays world it is not that often that as the customer you are still valued but Tang's maintains this tradition. As with previous reviews Tang's comes out on top for good food, great service and value for money. I'm glad that we made the effort to find our way through Maidstone peak hour traffic to dine at Tang's.
