“Mmmmm Mexican!”
Reviewed January 7, 2013

Mexxa Mexxa is lovely! The food is delicious, and having lived in America and ate quite a lot of Mexican food, I do know what I am talking about!! This is probably my favourite place to eat in Maidstone. The portions are a decent size, food is really lovely, however the meals are not always the same each time, different chefs put their own spins on the meals and you can therefore tell which chef is on!

“good food, great atmosphere.”
Reviewed December 30, 2012

ate here just before christmas with a group of friends -food was very good - we had table right
in front of bar so did feel as though we were being watched by staff as we ate - but that's just a small criticism.
Will definitely return.

“I should have trusted my ex's gut instinct”
Reviewed December 29, 2012

Having dined previously at their 'flop' graves end based eaterie, I should have been more aware of their failings as a restaurant group. Memories of that trip out where of myself gently rubbing my then partners back as her gusset unintentionally emptied her stomach all over Mexxa mexxa's car park.
Willing to give their Maidstone branch a try, I stupidly booked a table for last night........ Bad idea! This time, I was the 1 suffering. My food came back up approximately 1 hour after!
Service is appalling- all staff where huddled by the bar talking about what colour pants they had bought there boyfriends for Christmas.
This place is a complete waste of money and is propped up purely by the county towns passing trade. Shame as it could make way for a decent restaraunt.

“Well below average”
Reviewed November 26, 2012 via mobile

Went here for lunch on a Sunday. Lunch menu seemed promising and reasonable. Ordered paella which was more like Uncle Ben's rice with a couple of prawns and a couple of over cooked mussels thrown in.

Husband had the ribs, poor considering the price. Some of the chips were green.

Place looks very dated and in need of a redec. Disappointed as love to support independent rather than chain restaurants but won't be visiting again.
