This is a country park ,with views looking over the Kent Countryside , from on top of Detling Hill .So park up and go for a walk and see what you find.
Please note you have to pay for parking , but not expensive.

“Might be a good spot in years to come”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 15, 2014

This strikes me as a very new park as there was nothing much to do or see here. Had to pay for car park, it was a ridiculous price too. If it matures and they improve it over the years it might get a better rating from me.

“Small but beautiful”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 9, 2014 via mobile

For a really pleasant walk in a beautiful part of Kent, this park hits the spot. Not in the least strenuous, very child and dog friendly. Well maintained with an ancient old (10th century) castle wall to admire and at £1.50 for a ill days parking, very good value too!

“Up and down!!!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 22, 2013

I've just returned from a great walk in the white horse country park. We set out for a bracing walk, following the north downs way. We walked through the ruins of Thurman castle which offers great views. We walked past the ruins and swung a left to the edge of a field and into a beautiful bluebell woodland. There are steps but the ay out of the and takes you up hill, down hill the up, then down again. The climbs are steep but for someone trying to keep fit this is a great work out walk. Wouldn't recommend taking the kids on this one, unless you want some tired moaning on your hands. Enjoy! Oh by the way, I've seen a few quibbles about paying for parking, but near the castle ruins, there are a few free spaces.

“Lovely but parking expensive for a quick walk...”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 17, 2013

Although this a favourite place of the BORBUFF , we dont go often due to the expensive car parking fees all year round. We dont want to spend all day there so why we have to pay £1.50 for a 30 minute round walk on a path, even when its winter in the pouring rain,we dont understand. I

ts a shame because my small dogs love it here as they have un hindered views and enjoy it whatever the weather. It does it spoil it when there is noise and bonfire smells going on, but if you are lucky enough to get a quiet day and no one else around then it is great. Lovely butterflies, lovely views, lovely castle ruins and lovely goats :) We save it for when the family visit as picnic benches are handy, so at least the parking fee is spread out a bit !
