“We'll Be Back”
Reviewed June 2, 2012

We've just had our third visit to Wealden Hall and its unlikely to be our last. We live in Lincolnshire and visit old army friends in Maidstone; staying with Jacqui and John is home from home. Having previously run our own B&B, we see things from both perspectives and know its not easy to get everything right all the time. However, the Watsons seem to have achieved the impossible and even the most picky would have difficulty finding fault.
It all starts with a warm welcome over a cup of tea and a chat. If you need to know anything about the area, ie places to visit, where to eat, directions etc., you only need to ask.
There appears to be a policy of making your stay even more special on each visit. This time we found the en-suite completely upgraded with bath, shower and "foot-bath." (For want of a one-way valve and less red tape, that's a bidet) The bedroom was spacious, clean and comfortable with plenty of drawers and wardrobe space - and a really good bed!
Breakfast was as we recalled from previous visits,- bacon, sausage and eggs from recently resident pigs and currently resident hens, together with the usual accompaniments and freshly baked bread.
Wealden Hall is in a quiet and peaceful area on the edge of a village (which has a pub), and yet is within a few minute's drive of the main road and motorway networks.
There is an outdoor swimming pool, which due to weather and the seasons we have not used. However, another pleasant surprise was that Wi-Fi is now available to visitors, so you don't need to be without your technology during your stay.
All in all Jacqui and John are first class hosts: there's a warm welcome, good food, home comforts and easy access. Recommended unreservedly.

We were looking for a Bed & Breakfast for our visit to a wedding near Maidstone. We were very lucky indeed to discover Wealden Hall (via the internet) for our 2 night break, it is in a lovely little village (with a great pub) and in a ideal situation for discovering the local area. On arrival we were greated by John and Jacqui who offered us a lovely cup of tea or coffee and cake or biscuits - very welcome after our journey from Portsmouth.

Our room was really lovely, very comfortable, clean and with lovely views - it also had a bathroom to die for! We were offered the appetising breakfast menu to make our choices for the following morning, and when we went for breakfast the next day we were not disappointed, it was lovely - cooked to perfection, at a time of our choice which was really nice as we are not early birds!

Our hosts were very helpful, nothing was too much trouble, they made us very welcome.

We would recommend Wealden Hall to everyone and would say it is very good value for the money and only wish the weather had been better for our visit as the swimming pool looked lovely.

Thanks for a lovely weekend!

We chose this place essentially at random off the web. We arrived to a warm welcome and an offer of coffee. The room was spacious and clean. Breakfast was fantastic. Hosts were friendly and helpful. Would stay again anytime

My boyfriend and I loved this place. Both Jacqui and John (the owners) were amazing and treated as if we were part of the family (we were offered homemade brownies and tea on arrival). We stayed at this beautiful place because it looked great from the photos, it was easy to travel to and they had their own hens and pigs (adorable). Our expectations were exceeded and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The breakfast was amazing (the list of choices was endless - the bacon, sausages and homemade bread were delicious), the room was great and the bathroom was brilliant (spacious, a huge shower and bath tub). It was incredibly homely and we have already recommended this place to our family and friends. It was immaculately clean, peaceful and the views were memorable. One minute we were chilling in our bedroom, watching television and sipping our hot chocolates, the next we were walking around the village, visiting Canterbury and eating the top quality food at the local pubs...Wealden Hall was simply incredible.
