We often go here in a big group of mixed ages (toddlers, youngsters, teens, young adults, older adults and oldies!) We always have a great day playing chase, hide and seek and rounders. The play equipment is good and the cafe does good food at reasonable prices. The woodland trail is just the right length for youngsters and is easy for toddlers to walk and run in too. Definitely a good place to go for a fun picnic with friends and family.

Large play area for the kids to run around in. Woodland and meadows make a lovely scenic walk. Will definitely be going back, probably with the dog next time.

We've visited the park before which made this occasion just sheer pleasure. Yes you have to keep an eye on your children but on the other hand it's the safest place we've been to this holiday where the children could just go off and build dens, play on the adventure equipment or walk the grounds to their hearts' content and we adults could simply relax and fund the drinks and ice creams. Not over priced either. The cafe closed rather earlier than we would have wanted but that's a minor point. Decent cup of coffee and nephew's favourite cheesy chips, lovely.

What a lovely surprise to re-discover this country park and wow it's changed so much. Absolutely brilliant play area and various play structures scattered around giving fun for all ages. Loads of parking, great little Kiosk cafe with friendly staff. Toilets could be maintained more regularly on a busy day as ladies lacked toilet paper and had started to look messy and a bit smelly by 3pm when we arrived for a picnic tea. other than that well worth a visit, we will definitely be going back to explore the arboretum and woodland walks and have another play. Best of all it's free :-) xx

Large park converted from the old Maidstone Zoo. Recently refurbished and now has a large wooden castle structure with slides and climbing areas. Small balancing frames, large zip wire and rope snake swing. Building dens in the woods and go for a walk all the way around the top end of the park on the purpose built footpath through the woods, look out for the zoo animals though! Finish it off with and egg and bacon roll from the cafe. Clean toilets onsite too.
