Took the dogs for a stroll the other day, hadn't been there for a few months and was really suprised to see that the park has had a facelift! Great for the family with some new play attractions, new permanent paths and a lot more information about the place. Even the pond at the top of the park looked good. The cafe still does not open past three or four each day but never mind, if you want a snack its there.

We regularly buy food from the cabin as a treat at our work. We love the food here as it's not expensive and is extremely nice.

I'd recommed getting food here all day long!

We came here for the afternoon, and what a lovely park! Lovely Woodland Walks and lovely well-kept playgrounds and grounds, lots for kids to do but perhaps another little Cafe would be useful. Overall, a lovely day out/afternoon and I really recommend it.

We re-visited this park last week and our kids were thrilled with the new play equipment.

It's well built and offers hours of fun for any energetic children. The park itself is lovely to waklk around. Not too big, but ideal when you have small children that you know will not be able to walk for hours and will probably need carrying around later!! Infact, our 3 year old got very tired legs, but we got our buggy out and pushed him round which was made easier by the new paths that have been put in place.

It was a lovely sunny day and did get busy. Lots of families picnicing. The car park did become very busy so recommend getting their early.

I have seen comments about the dog poo! Have to say, we didn't notice any issue with poo and all came home with clean shoes, however, we did have a dog with us and after he did his business, we did comment on the lack of any 'dog bins'. These really could be dotted around which would make any poo issues much better. Thing to remember is, that although not helped by the lack of bins provided, it is really the owners who leave the mess behind!

Generally this is a family park which keeps children happy, the family dog happy and is a nice way to spend a couple of hours. I do appreciate this is an old zoo site, but there is nothing really left which related to the zoo and as sad as it sounds, I think reference to it should be dropped as it could be misleading.

The cafe was very busy with long ques. I hear the food is nice so will give them the benefit of the doubt although a picnic would be my preferrred option!

A couple of extra loos would be welcome especially at the top end of the park, although if there is an issue with dirty old men, that maybe not a good idea. Didn't see any dirty old men myself, but i wouldn't take my kids round the park at night anyway. I am a little surprised by the 'seedy' side of it, as on the 2 times i have visited this park, it is a mecca for the police to gather and grab a coffee which I would have thought would be a good enough deterrant?

We had a very nice 2 hours here and will go again.

We have walked our dogs in Cobtree for many years. Sadly it has been ruined by over-development. It now attracts irresponsible visitors and dog walkers who litter the place or do not clean up after their dogs. We never had a problem with dog poo until this development. There are possibly 3 visible OLD poo bins badly positioned. If perchance poo is picked up the bags are discarded into the foliage in the woods or hanging on tree branches.
It was a much nicer, peaceful, cleaner place to walk prior to MBC's squandering charity cash on it. If families have a problem with dogs I am sure there are many other places to go where they will not have a problem.
When we visit early evening the park provides an ideal venue for the 'dogging' fraternity (nothing to do with the canine specimen) It is unbelievable that MBC chose to encourage families with children to a renowned site where these men frequent to indulge in their indecencies. We have seen them wander into the play area recently and actually into the fort when familes have departed. Not a very nice thought!
