One of the most gorgeous parks in the UK. On a sunday during the summer months, they run a small gauge steam railway, it's great fun for chilren and adults. Would highly recommend. Make sure you take your picnic hamper

Mote Park is a lovely park. there is a fairly new childrens play area, a skate park, a lake, a cafe, football pitches, putting, and golf. it is also equiped with its own leisure centre. the park is perfect for sports, picnics, walking, dogs, anything really, and it is suitable for everyone. if you are in maidstone its a must go.

Moat Park - Maidstone, is around a 10 min walk from the coach station(centre of town),

Mote Park is Maidstone's largest park with more than 450 acres of mature parkland with a 30 acre lake, providing a wide range of recreational activities. It's a great place to to walk around, or just sit and watch the swans or the model boat club.

For the more energietic, there is Pitch and Putt (18 holes), a children's play area and skatepark, and football and rugby pitches. Horse riding (permit only). The park is also home to Maidstone Leisure Centre(Great water slides and lazy river!)

The cafeteria, 'Cafe in the Park' is open Easter-Oct.

There is miniature railway on Sunday afternoons during the summer.

There are many events taking place in the park during the spring and summer, including Race for Life, Funfairs, the Maidstone Multicultural Mela.

* Park open 09:00 until dusk Monday to friday, 8am to dusk Saturday and Sunday. all year
