If you want to visit a really pretty castle, this is it, it is photo city. The grounds are immaculate, the restaurant is nice and affordable. The maze is challenging. My only complaint was that the thief got away with stealing a couple of black swans from Australia, which is why it is one of the few places in the world with them. (Just a joke, they look good there). I am so glad we stopped there it was one of the highlights of the UK.

What a shame, Leeds Castle. I come here all the time. I love it, I really do but what a let down when we came on Boxing Day. We took the children as they love to do the Days of Kent trail. In previous years, there have been beautiful displays but this year we had to find things that were already there( a tree or weather vane). Mostly they were excited to see the pathway all lit up and magical on the walk back but NO lights! I appreciate how much money they've spent...new toilet blocks, general improvements everywhere. And I really do appreciate it all but please remember that this is a very special place and especially to my children who see it as a 'real castle' where 'real princesses' , kings and queens once lived. Please keep it magical or you'll lose the children!

A wonderful morning walking about the beautiful grounds at Leeds Castle feeding the geese. The restaurant had a delicious selection of eats and drinks on offer. After a delicious tea and light snack which was reasonably priced, we stopped to view the falcons, owls etc.

There was lots to see and the displays were interesting and well arranged. The grounds were lovely even in December. The shop was on the pricey side but they always are sadly.

Lovely grounds, been to several events here but trying to have a meal is a nightmare!

On our most recent visit had to resort to sitting on upside down tea trays outside, the wooden tables & benches were wet, not ideal with two toddlers, attempted to eat in the restaurant which operates a self seating policy which basically means its a rugby scrum!

Come on Leeds Castle, more eateries please!
