“Not a bad place to eat”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 24, 2014

I stopped at the hotel and therefore used the restaurant. It was nice food, well cooked and presented. My only issue with the meal was that I had a steak which I asked for medium rare, but it was cooked medium at best. This was a little overcooked for my taste, but didn't detract from the good service and overall quality of the food.

“Great Food”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 21, 2014 via mobile

After reading the reviews, I was a bit nervous! But I was welcomed warmly by staff and quickly seated! I had the goats cheese starter which was so yummy and followed by the pork belly! The food was so great! The service was great! Perfect evening especially with a couple glasses of wine!! Made our night!

“Average to poor”
1 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 15, 2014

Cold, poor quality food. Very difficult to get a healthy satisfying meal in the hotel.
Staff are friendly but they must have high turnover and poor training as service and knowledge of menus and systems is terrible.

“Office Christmas Party”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 3, 2014

The Christmas party was a fairly standard price of somewhere around the £40 mark, but it really wasn't worth it. We were "encouraged" to sit down at our table fairly early in the evening, but it was a good 45 mins to an hour before any food appeared - and it wasn't even that good when it did arrive! The tables were too tightly packed together and when we finally finished eating and got up to dance, there was no room on the dance floor anyway! A case of trying to cram too many people into too small a space.

The high point was the bacon sandwich at midnight. Can't really say much else for it!

“Not quite meeting expectation”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 17, 2014

Setting of the place is nice, keep away from windows to avoid eye contact with people drinking/getting drunk outside, food was expensive and tasteless, and sevice was extremely slow...took 3 hours for 4 of us, incl 2 kids to eat....sat down at 6 and left at 9pm, 4 times had to get up and look for the waiter....would have been better if I was with the coach party from Germany who had a buffet...
