Owner description: Set in 200 acres of mature unspoilt parkland , you can enjoy wildlife, lakeside walks, play areas and camping all in a family friendly setting. The park boasts over 5km of paths and trails winding their way around 5 lakes, through wooded glades and meadows. In amongst this are picnic and bbq areas and numerous play and learning experiences for children. A park information centre and café ensure that you have everything you need to get the most from the park, its wildlife and the natural surroundings. From bird watching to triathlons, camping, picnicking or simply enjoying a walk in the countryside, Emberton Country Park has something for everyone to enjoy, all year round.

There has been a significant investement here over the last couple of years, particularly in the childrens play areas. A 2KM tarmac road runs round the perimeter of the park which is ideal for cycling, walking and jogging. The Cafe has sprung back into life and seems open most days.
You can swim in the lake during the summer as part of the sessions organised my Team MK.
The camp sites are there for those looking to pitch a tent or caravan.......ideal for attending local events. The 10 minute walk into the prety market town of Olney is a must for local shops, restaurants and pubs.

Plenty of grassed areas where groups can set up gazebos and bbq's for relaxation after a walk around the lakes or a game of rounders or cricket.
This is a lovely rural location and just a short walk into Olney.

My family and I regularly visit Emberton country park and once there you'll be taken in by 200 acres of nature, array of wildlife and relaxing nature of the place.

To improve the experience I would strongly encourage the management team for the park to spruce up all the public areas, have more bins, complete regular litter pick ups, make the picnic areas smarter and clear out the rubbish from the lakes.......does not need money spending on it, just care and attention on a daily basis.

I like the unspoilt environment and most of the visitors use the wide open spaces for picnics, bbq's and games, which in 2013 is wonderful to see!

This established park provided a much-needed escape for pent-up steam at the end of the long summer holidays! At just £4 for the entrance, including parking, it was cheap entertainment. Set amongst old gravel pits , now turned into lakes, the park provides a safe environment for kids to run, bike and scoot around. The three play areas we visited were all different and provided a great deal of pleasure for three children aged 11, 8 and 5: the ingenious gravel transporting at Play area 1, the Pirate ship at 2 and finally the smaller more simple equipment at 3.
We also used the exercise area, designed for adults but being used exclusively by children when we were there.
A lovely afternoon out providing lots of old-fashioned fun with not a Nintendo in sight!
