Went for a walk round the lakes - very clean, beautiful scenery with plenty of wildlife. As it was a bank holiday by mid afternoon it was really busy but still did not appear overcrowded. With play areas for the kids and lots of grassed areas for them to play it is a great place for a day out. As we walked round there were day campers and long stay campers and smells of barbecues around us. There was still very peaceful areas where People were fishing, out in boats, cycling or just chilling lying on sun beds. To be recommended.

For a Council owned and run park i have always found Emberton to be a joy to visit. I have had picnics here when the children were young have camped here , sailed and fished here., The facilities have been kept amenable and not tacky as the general maintenance and landscaping of the park. It is a very acceptable famly friendly location to be enjoyed and not being too expensive. I am a little disappointed with the drop in the standards of the camping field and the rather dismal toilet faciltiies though
