Owner description: Indoor climbing is the sport for anyone! Tempted to give it a go? Sociable, dynamic and fun, climbing is an exciting alternative to boring gym routines for adults and a great way to prove to kids that exercise can be fun! Get the adrenaline buzz from reaching the top. Keep fit without feeling like you’re doing exercise. Socialise and build friendships. What’s stopping you?

Myself, my son (9yrs) and sisters went here for a holiday taster session, 1.5 hours for £15 each. It was brilliant. We did much more climbing than I expected to do and got a bit of direction and coaching. Spent approx 1 hour on the walls with ropes and then 30 mins 'bouldering' where you go along and up a small wall without ropes. I have climbed a bit before but would highly recommend going even if you have never done anything like it before but fancy giving it a go! A very enjoyable experience!

My 8 year old loved the sense of danger but was in reality nice and safe and had a whale of a time, brilliant for everybody

My four year old son and husband had a 90 minute taster session. They both enjoyed themselves thoroughly and we have since booked them both lessons.

Went for the bouldering on a weekday afternoon and there was only a few people in there which was great. Has a large bouldering area. Routes are colour coded so its easy to find routes of certain levels. Problems seem well thought out as well, with a huge variety of different holds. Is a bit pricey compared to other venues but it is well relaxed in there with nice sofas for chilling on. The top roping areas look great as well and there were a few things for small children to climb as well. A great session and a great venue. Will go again.

Visited Big Rock last November for a taster session was hooked! so signed up for the beginers course helpful welcoming staff who work hard to encourage people to get together by organising social evenings to get folks climbing together.
Brilliant family location they accomadate all ages!! bouldering area is a fab challenge and the 2 heights of climbing walls cater for all levels of climbers, don't worry if your climbing solo they have auto belays!!
Cafe is excellent good food and drinks at reasonable rates, non climbers welcome to sit on sofas and watch climbers!

Just love this place - if its raining outside - climb inside!!
