“Excellent Experience but Only Once due to Cost”
Reviewed December 27, 2013

This is a really exciting experience and we all thoroughly enjoyed it. Even though it took nearly 3 hours of driving for a few minutes of actual skydiving - we still loved the day! And so did the family that we shared our session with. A mother and father and three young (4-6 yr old) kids. The kids were amazing!

It's a credit to the experience itself, the facilities and the wonderful staff who are very friendly, caring and knowledgeable.

My only gripe is the cost. The base package is expensive. About £10 per minute of skydiving. So it's right up the scale in terms of costly hobbies, and most people would only ever do this one or twice in their lives because of that. Which is a shame as we enjoyed it so much, and there is a long learning curve that could be taken up. But the venue was very popular so I guess they don't need to worry about that.

And then, once you've paid all this money - they want more! An extra £5 to do this spinning thing with the instructor who takes you up and down the length of the tube very quickly. Super exciting, definitely something to 'add on' but after spending so much money with them, couldn't they just throw this in? Again... people will pay it due to the 'once in a lifetime' aspect. So, they don't worry about it, and we pay it.

Finally, the pictures are their usual pricey self. But any one who has been to an amusement park will know the price of pictures! £10 a pop. We got fridge magnets at £5.

Though, be aware, they do email you a link to all the pictures. So if you don't mind "proof" and the "airkix" name over the photo, then wait until you're home. Reminds me of all my old school photos...

“Excellent - Great Fun!”
Reviewed December 13, 2013

Bought two BOGOF with Into the Blue offers for the children as a surprise last Christmas. With busy lives we never seemed to have a time when we could all get there. Then we realised it
expired this month, so off we went to Milton Keynes on Monday evening. The Airkix place is located in a sort of entertainment complex with cinema and shops.

When we arrived we were checked in and given a talk by the instructor. Then they were taken to get kitted out in some unfashionable outfits which the teenagers didn't like!

Then it was time to go and went straight in as there was no que. The kids all agreed it was fantastic and cant wait to do it again. We paid an extra £5.00 each on the day and the instructor whizzes you right up to the top of the dome a couple of times which they said was fun. It was a really fun thing to do and would definitely recommend. When we finished there were photos and dvds to buy although we took our own photos. I didn't realise but with the offer I bought I was eligible for two free DVDs which was a nice surprise. There are lockers available to put your coats and valuables in. When we were done there are lots of places to eat in the centre.

Took my son to Airkix for his 14th birthday. What a great experience and he loved it!
Couldn't stop talking about it all day. Would definitely recommend this to everyone and to top it off, we got a great deal as well (BOGOF). Fantastic!

“good fun experience”
Reviewed December 3, 2013

We arrived at 1300 for our experience, first of all we met our instructor, he was very friendly and explained everything very well, then a video was shown and hand signals were explained as to what directions you might be given, ie: to bend your legs or straighten them. There were a group of about 6 and we were all taken up to the flight area, we had 2 flights both lasting one minute. I was observing but my husband and two children took part and really enjoyed it so much. After they had the chance of an extra minute for £11 and a chance to high fly with the instructor for £5 which both my children took advantage of and really enjoyed. It was a short experience but well worth the money. I would highly recommend this.

“superb experience”
Reviewed December 2, 2013

This is an awesome experience for young and old alike, it's sixty seconds of pure adrenalin rush which is enhanced by great staff and instructors who go out of their way to ensure you get an awesome sixty seconds worth of pure exhilaration. And then after your flight when the instructor's do their party pieces you realise how skilled and professional they are.
