Description: Beefeater opened their doors back in 1974, and were driven by a passion for glorious steak. Mouth-watering cuts at mouth-watering prices was their motto. Reassuringly nothing's changed, these things still drive them today and they always will. Beefeater believe in two things, a warm friendly welcome and serving incredible steak.

“What a Night! This place wont let you down!”
Reviewed December 14, 2012

Where do i start i was celebrating my 21st birthday with my family and after whittling it down to three places for a decent steak i took could the chance on the Beefeater. Now my previous experiences with Beefeater haven't been great as most of them a few years ago would stick kids in the kitchen attempting to cook steaks they were either too burnt or too dry, however it seems they have bucked their idea's up big time. I saw 30+ year old professional chefs in the kitchen which looked good but would the food do itself justice? My God yes! What can i say starters amazing the steaks medium pink in the middle amazing. Desserts to die for, this truly was a great night. The staff were so friendly and helpful with anything including the bottomless chips, which i explained to my mother who thought the chips portions were small to then be told you can order as many portions as you want for FREE! Sorry of on tangent there anyways the service was class, even with all the Christmas parties going on they never rushed us to finish or made us feel uneasy. The decor was stunning and what an atmosphere for a family to get together on a cold frost night to be in a warm cosy restaurant i promise you this place won't let you down take a chance and you won't regret it. :)

Note: Even on a Thursday and yes it is leading up to Christmas however i warn you to book before going in case you want to be waiting up to 30 minutes for a table.

“Well looked after, comfortable, considerate of allergies”
Reviewed December 1, 2012 via mobile

Having our Christmas dinner here, they are fantastic. They offered alternatives and even a new dessert for my wive's allergies. Buckets of party poppers, hats, and streamers on each table.
Waitresses ask if we need any more gravy, sauce, etc. Just feel looked after and appreciated.
Bar area is comfortable and warm. Recommended.

“enjoyable meal”
Reviewed November 26, 2012

I went to the Beefeater with 3 friends on a Friday for lunch. My friends who eat steak said that the meat was fantastic. I had gammon which was also very good. The ultimate chips are worth trying. Our deserts only cost £1.99 on the lunchtime offer they were delicious.

“Food OK - long wait to be seated”
Reviewed November 9, 2012

We went on a Wednesday expecting it to be quiet but had to wait 1 1/4 hours for a table. We had a shared starter which was not good at all, the bread burnt and other items had been over deep fried (it cost £10). We did not get to speak to our waitress about this as someone else took the plate away and did not ask us how it was. We both chose steaks and this was OK as was the rest of the meal.
