Dropped in on a busy Sunday lunchtime, but despite there being little space we were looked after immediately. A table was found and our order taken and served within 10 minutes. I had a burger (first for ages) and it was delicious, the trimmings all well prepared and presented. Thanks for a great pub meal. Recommended.

Recently as part of our 25th wedding anniversary celebrations we had a fantastic day and evening at the Jolly farmer. In the afternoon we had a brilliant 2 course meal for 19 adults and 5 children. There were options for each course and the food was beautifully presented and cooked to perfection. In the evening we had another 100 guests and again a superb buffet was laid out . So many thanks to Moray , Joe and all the lovely staff for a fantastic day and evening.
We would suggest if you want a great venue for a special celebration large or small give The Jolly Farmer call.

Found this place on tripadvisor when staying nearby and ate there in a party of four - we had four mains, three desserts and about six drinks between the four of us for £80. The menu was very interesting - I tried Prawn Kedgeree (real comfort food), two others had the very impressive lamb steak and one had smoked salmon salad. Portions were very generous. For dessert I had an exquisite dish of strawberries marinated in red wine - truely memorable. The other desserts of traditional apple crumble and warm chocolate brownie were also delicious. It's a little out of the way in the small village of Cliddesden but if you're in the Basingstoke area this friendly local pub is worth seeking out for a meal.

We recently went to the Jolly Farmer to see a friend's band, Johnny Marvel Blues Groove, that was playing a gig in the garden on the August Bank Holiday weekend. We hadn;t beend before. The garden was lovely and the beer good and competitively priced but all the garden furniture was covered in bird poo. You would think that stagin an outdoors event, someone would have thought to have cleaned the benches.
