Ordered pasties for our son's party and they went down a treat!!! The children, teenagers and adults enjoyed them and they were an alternative to the normal buffet.

As a Bolton "foodie" I find it so embarrassing that 2 pasty shops are in the top 10 for trip advisor. What must anyone visiting the area looking for somewhere to eat think of our culinary tastes?
As for Carrs pasties I can only comment on the Halliwell Road shop . Firstly everything is overpriced and the boring , dated selection of sandwiches is depressing . As for the pies and pasties they too are very average , just do not know what all the fuss is about?
Another factor with this shop is the staff , they are miserable as sin . They also need training on health issues as it is regular to see them licking their fingers to pick up the paper bags the food goes in .

I live not to many miles away and return here as the pasties are the best both potato and meat and the cheese, my husband likes the sausage rolls too. Even had them a functions with mushy peas and red cabbage, not a bad price either.

Carrs pasties are the best, there is no competition, that is why they have so many celebrities and footballers on their orders books. They are quite a large slim pasty with a melt in the mouth pastry thats quite thin, but the perfectly seasoned filling is what makes carrs the perfect pasty. Because its so popular be prepared to queue for a while, my advice don't go around lunch time as its full of workers, go early if you can to avoid the rush.

Carrs pasties are the best, bar none. We regularly buy them in frozen and uncooked and keep a stock in the freezer. Our granddaughter loves them as well.
