Have stayed here several times as we have family in Bolton. It is very handy for the train station which is a 5 minute walk away and also the town centre.
The rooms are spacious and very clean , the beds are comfy so you always get a good nights sleep.
We always go for the cereals and toast followed by the full english breakfast which is excellent and freshly cooked for you by Debbie , nothing is any trouble for her.
You are always made very welcomed and you feel like it's home from home.
Keep up the good work.

Although we only live 4 miles away we had to be in Bolton by 7am on the Sunday morning. Woke up Saturday to deep snow and it was still snowiwng hard at lunch time. Decided to try and get a room in Bolton. Highgrove came to the rescue. We were warmly welcomed early evening and shown to a very nice ground floor room. We requested a taxi be booked for 7am next morning this was done also the manageress offered to do early breakfast for us.On the Sunday morning nothing was too much trouble although we did not want a cooked breakfast cereal and toast were offered. When the taxi arrived help was given with the luggage albeit in 6 inches of snow. Lovely clean welcoming B & B at a very reasonable price. This was a lifesaver for us and made a nice start to a Christmas Holiday. Thanks Min.

Myself and my parents stayed at the Highgrove for a birthday weekend trip to Bolton to visit the Fred Dibnah Heritage Centre and Bolton Steam Museum. The guest house was in a central location, convenient for the town centre. The owners were welcoming and helpful. The rooms were clean, comfortable and well-equiped. Free wireless internet access was very useful. Breakfast was delicious! All in all, we would recommend the Highgrove to anyone visiting Bolton.

My wife and I spent two nights at The Highgrove (7th - 9th Nov, 2010) and our choice was based on its location in conjunction with the favourable reviews on Trip Advisor. We were not disappointed in any way. The Highgrove offers clean, comfortable accommodation within easy walking distance of Bolton town centre. The friendly owners made us most welcome. We stayed in a quiet, en suite room (with shower) at the rear of the guest house.

The breakfast was excellent with self-service for cereal/fruit juice/etc followed by table service for toast and your choice of cooked dish. Breakfast was served in the dining room from 0700-0830 on weekdays (slightly later at weekends).

There is a dedicated car park at the rear of the guest house and, if arriving by car, you should really proceed directly to this car park as it is not practicable to stop on the main road at the front of the building. Just turn off Manchester Road into Henry Street and this will take you to the back of the building.

If we had cause to return to Bolton in the future we would not hesitate to stay at the Highgrove again.
