“Burger Night Thurs”
Reviewed May 18, 2014 via mobile

Took advantage of the Thursday offer - 2x burgers and 2x bottles of beer for £20 (great value for 2 people). The stacked burgers were beautiful - cooked to perfection and the hand-cooked chips were to die for! I had the sweet potato fries which were also delicious. Would definitely recommend this place as staff are very attentive. We will go back for sure :)

“Burgers - WOW!!!!!”
Reviewed April 1, 2014 via mobile

Decided to eat hear after seeing recent comments on twitter. The burgers were amazing - definitely lived upto there expectations. My husband and I both had starters off the specials board - they were superb also. Our son had a meal from the children's menu then had the Sticky Toffee Pudding - very tasty!!!! Will definitely go back and recommend to others !!!

“hidden gem for good and real ale”
Reviewed March 23, 2014 via mobile

Chose the Farmers Arms at random, fancying a proper Sunday roast and were not disappointed. Sunday lunch menu 13.95 for 3 courses with traditional and innovative choices, plus the usual menu which was very tempting.
I chose the bread board instead of a starter, bread heaven with dipping oil, butter and bacon jam... Yes really!
Husband picked the homemade tomato soup, which was chunky with peppers and onions and delicious. Today's roasts , pork or beef, had one of each and both very good, pork fatty but tender and veg nicely done. Just had room for waddle, ice cream and toffee sauce, large glass of wine (nice to be offered a choice) and pint of real ale brewed in horwich, which at £2 a pint was great value and went down very well.
Staff were friendly, couldn't believe they weren't busy but apparently that's unusual

“burger kingdom”
Reviewed March 6, 2014

If you like burgers this is the place for you, we went for the classic side of the menu, burgers take up a large part of the menu which is a shame.I had the steak pie which was very average and my wife had the steak cieabata which was served with French fries( them chipstick things) and some limp rocket she was not very happy with it.We go in lots of different pubs in greater Manchester so we have got lots to compare with and to be honest very average food and not good value it was a Wednesday night and was very quite

“Oh boy! Best burger for miles”
Reviewed February 23, 2014 via mobile

We visited the Farmers arms earlier this evening and had an amazing meal.
We started with a bread board which was warm and fresh
I had a a-pork-acalypse burger which was a beef burger with pulled pork and bacon, which was meaty and really juicy.
My wife had a burrito off the specials menu which was nice and spicy
All in all that was the best burger I've had this side of the Atlantic
The place itself is more a pub doing good food than fancy restraunt but for honest good food it's hard to beat
