Stayed here whilst with National Holidays for the weekend.
Needs a really good update, especially the bathroom (still in the 70's).
Room was clean enough, food of an evening and breakfast was fine, would stay again if on an organised trip

Last time I stayed at this hotel in June it was dreadfull but I've got to say this time really no problems. Room was clean and comfortable only problem was ceiling heating so was cold sitting in chair but you could feel the heat when you stood up. Restaurant was clean and buffet food quite good. Free WiFi and easy to use. Staff all very friendly and helpfull. Plenty parking.

Great value for money, dinner, bed, breakfast and wine for £55. Hotel is very dated but clean. Restaurant staff were friendly and chatty. Evening meal was good and breakfast was better with good choice and variety....steer clear of the sausages though! Hotel manager obviously doesn't enjoy her job and was miserable! Free bottle of wine was a good enough bottle ( I thought it would be worse). Room was a great, although a little on the cold side,

Good clean room and bathroom. The wifi in room 47 is very poor but in the public areas it is excellent. Unfortunately this was another hotel where the heating seems to go off at about 10.30pm. The staff of this hotel are probably its greatest asset, I found them without exception friendly and helpful. The dinner menu was a bit unexciting but this is clearly an hotel being run on very low margins so mustn't complain! The breakfast buffet was good. The killer question... would I stay there again? Yes certainly! At GBP 48 total for 2 nights (room only) this represents excellent value for money.

Room Tip: Wi Fi in rooms furthest from the reception areas seems to be poor

the rooms are cold and very dated, i had the misfortune to stay here for a week (working away on nights) the staff will lie at the drop of a hat and we were woken every morning we were here by the cleaners slamming doors, or the fire alarm being set off for no reason. really glad i wasnt paying the bill !! it may be ok when just passing through for a night, other than that find somewhere decent. they made working away very hard work : (

Stayed here in October, had a lovely clean modern room - bed was very comfortable, food was ample and very tasty - Restraunt staff were professional and friendly and chatty. All of the staff were refreshingly friendly and polite. It was a real pleasure staying here. Highly recommended.
