“A real home from home”
Reviewed March 8, 2013

The warmth of the welcome is unbelievable. Christine is a super hostess and can't do enough to make your stay a happy one. The room was spotless and very comfortable with a huge bed. We had a 2 night stay and although the pressure was on Christine to get to her daughter's school play, we were not rushed at breakfast time and had the usual full English breakast. Offers of cereal, fruit and yoghourts kept coming, but we declined. This is not the place to eat breakfast if you are worried about your figure!
It was too chilly to use the balcony so we contented ourselves with enjoying the view across the farmland. The broadband was especially welcome as I had a bid on E Bay to watch.
The relaxed attitude of Christine and the ability to come and go as you please, truly makes Ingleside House a home from home

My wife and I felt part of this family during our stay. Very pleasant accommodation and good company at a reasonable price. breakfast is served in the family kitchen at a communal table so very good for a morning chat with other residents

My business partner and I are about to stay here again, for our third year. We keep coming back because Christine has ticked all our boxes in a B&B. Clean, warm, very comfortable, welcoming and sends us off everyday with a very happy and full tummy! We fully recommend this B&B, just a long as there is space for our next visit!

Christine has two properties (Ingleside House, the main one, and Inglenook just down the road). I've stayed at both these properties at various times over the past year whilst in the area for business. Christine is very welcoming, and will do anything for you. Having stayed in 2 separate rooms in Ingleside and 1 in Inglenook, I can say they are all of the same high quality. Inglenook doesn't have internet though, but other than that, it is perfect if you want your own space, as it has a full kitchen facility. Ingleside has high speed internet and also a small kitchenette where you can prepare your own meals. I have stayed both Bed only and Bed and Breakfast at different times here. Breakfast was good and plentiful and Christine's daughter (sorry I've forgotten her name!) is adorable, as is puppy Ellie May.

Would highly recommend this property for somewhere to stay either for business or leisure.

The owner has 2 properties about 1 min drive apart both clean and fresh and well converted for guest house use. I was in the remote house and although the owner offered to cook breakfast here for me, I chose to eat in the main house.

The remote house has a full kitchen available if you wish to cook your own dinner or just avoid eating in your room both have plenty of free parking.

Room I had was bright and modern with a superb shower in the en-suite.

Breakfast seemed to be whatever you wanted - full English was tasty but I was also offered omelette or pancakes after declining poached or scrambled eggs.

TV has full digital offering - main building has broadband remote house has BTopenworld which needs your own account or a small fee - or find out how to tether your phone and use it.

Great find after my last BnB adventure

After a very interesting day at The Fred Dibnah Heritage Centre,my husband and I stayed overnight at Ingleside House. Upon arrival to a beautiful location we were warmly greeted by Christine and Ellie May (The puppy). We were shown to our lovely room with a balcony overlooking the countryside. The accommodation was a very high standard, beautifully furnished and decorated very fresh and clean. The breakfast menu was excellent, so much choice and all freshly prepared. Christine made us feel very welcome, you felt like you were visiting a friends home. It was a totally relaxed ending to a special day for us, literally the icing on the cake! The garden rabbits were adorable. We will go back again without hesitation next time we are in the area.
