“Cheaper than airport parking!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 14, 2013

We stayed here for one night before we flew to Spain on hols. I had forgotten to book airport parking so we got a lift there the evening before an early morning flight.

Checked in really easily and quickly. Room fairly non descript but clean. My boys (14 & 10) had twin beds in our room so it was all a bit snug but had everything we needed and only cost £40.

Room had air conditioning which we turned off as it was a bit too cold.

We had a drink in the bar downstairs but didn't eat. It was pretty busy but we got a table ok. Menu seemed ok and not too expensive. Food looked a bit insipid but ok. Drinks reasonably priced.

Great for a stopover.

I stayed in this hotel for one night prior to a flight for a business meeting, it was comfortable, convenient and quiet. They boast and guarantee a good nights sleep, and there right, the room was extremely quiet despite being next to the terminal.

Although I didn't use them, the restaurant and bar looked clean and tidy, there were a lot of people using them but the staff looked friendly and attentive, as were the staff on check in.

One of the bonuses for me was that the hotel discounted my short stay parking ticket by very nearly 50%. I would definitely use this hotel again for a stopover night before my flight, weather it be business or holiday.

Had a good time at this hotel for an overnight stay while waiting on passengers off a flight. They also allowed late check out which was excellent as flight was delayed.

They weather was hot at the time, however the whole hotel area was just too cool with the air conditioning too strong had to go outside to the courtyard/decking area to warm up. I didn't bring warm clothes with me as it was overnight stay.

The worst part of the stay was the air con in the room. When i entered it was like an ice box which i blamed on the housekeeping from earlier for turning it down too low, however when i turned it up to 25 to warm the room and returned 2 hours later after dinner. The room was even colder so i just switched it off because it was obviously broken. An tried to open the window to warm it up . The window did not open. But their is a fix it button on the phone which i did not use because I'm shy so I'm not going to take any stars off for the room A/C stuck on cold as they may have been able to rectify it.

Wifi.

The Wifi was excellent value.£3 for 24 hours or 30 free mins. However the wifi signal was practically non existent in the room(171 i think i was in) plus the courtyard bad to no signal. So i will take a star off for that. I.d pay £20 for wifi if it worked everywhere.

It is my fault for not using fix it button for the a/c in the room.

I would will return just not in the hot weather as the a/c set too cold in the general lobby restaurant bar. It was a relief on entering the hotel coming into a cool place from the heat but after ten mins you adjust and are frozen

Room Tip: If your looking for wifi in room confirm with staff that it available in dat area

Stayed here prior to flying from Gatwick South the following day, on the strength of so many good reviews. The hotel is easy to find, and the monorail link between the two terminals is efficient. The room was as good as many others have described, and I have paid more for less quality.

Two points of note: reception when we arrived was chaotic, largely it appeared as a delayed departure had meant travellers were seeking overnight accommodation. Staff were doing their best to deal with this but it put the check-in system under strain. Possibly as a consequence or not, the lifts were really difficult to get into from reception (the main loading point for luggage is at street level 2 floors below). We went up and down several times before we were able to get to the fifth floor, and that was after we had finally found an empty lift in the first place. So here's the tip - if you walk into the stairs lobby, there is an additional lift that guests can access and which did not share the congestion of the main lift set. Notwithstanding that issue, would use this hotel again for Gatwick without any real hesitation.

Absolutely perfect location and despite being in very close proximity to the runway it is strangely quiet. Very comfortable beds, spotlessly clean room and bathroom, additional ammenities and quick automated check in make this hotel overall perfect for a pre-flight stay; all for a bargain price far cheaper than local competitors.

This very modern hotel is very well located adjacent to Gatwick North Terminal. It is also very reasonably priced and our one night stay included car parking for the duration of our holiday. We hadn't realised that car parking was in the valet car park at the Airport and not adjacent to the hotel so it was quite complicated dropping cases and finding out way to the valet car park with children, bags and then a very busy lobby checking in with their automated system. However, having done all that we found our room to be very comfortable and quiet. The restaurant was very busy so we wished we had booked in advance, rather than take the later table which was available but we enjoyed our dinner. It was great the next morning for our early flight with just a short walk across the road to the airport.

Nice and clean rooms for a decent price (considering this is London), just a 20 second-walk from the North Terminal, very quiet inside. There's a kettle with tea, coffee. Opulent breakfast with great variety of food.
