Good quality carvery with a fair waiting system. You can choose between turkey beef ham and pork some had more than one meat. Veg bit soggy but difficult to keep firm with mass catering. £20 for main pud and round of drinks for two. Would use again.

We returned from our two week holiday abroad and I really fancied a roast but didn't fancy cooking it. We popped into The Barn to fulfil that need and found it to be extremely busy. It was a bank holiday so that may not have helped but we were concerned that it would be a long wait before getting a table. However, it was only a 10 minute wait in the end. The service was friendly once we were seated but they appeared to be rushed off their feet, so I would suggest they need more staff. We had to go and find someone so we could get the bill after waiting too long for someone to come over. The food was pretty good, as you would expect from a Toby carvery. Lots of selection and good portions of meat. The yorkies could be better, a bit limp and not very crispy. Overall though, somewhere I would visit again when in need of a roast.

Went on a Tuesday night about 6.30 and it was busy so must be a popular choice. OK if you order carvery but one of our party chose Salmon. This meant the plate being left at the carvery for us and then having to queue for vegetables while the Salmon was going cold. Not a good system! Carvery meat was very good apart from when one meat ran out and carver had to go out to the kitchen to get more. The other counter assistant also went away to get more vegetables which seemed very slow to come out so this caused a backlog of people waiting for roast potatoes and other veg. We were not told fizzy drinks were refillable, emphasis seemed to be on selling the upgrade carvery package. Service too slow due to lack of waiting staff, definitely need more staff.

We had good meal and a couple of drinks prior going back to hotel. It was early evening, busy time people popping in after work, food came very quickly and was good value.
