“Another Premier Inn”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 26, 2013

This is a slightly ageing Premier Inn close to the North terminal at LGW, but please do not get this one confused with the Premier Inn at the North Terminal, which is far newer and easier to access from the airport.

The A23 Premier Inn is an awkward 10 min walk to N terminal and the building is showing some ware and tear. But are very good, especially the restaurant staff and the food was good value. The rooms are standard for the chain and we slept OK in a comfortable room.

Transfer from North Terminal with bags is £3 per adult (each way) on a premier inn transfer bus that serves both N&S terminals and the transfer time can be half an hour. You may have to wait up to half an hour for a bus and the pick up point is the furthest stand away from the entrance/exit to the terminal. If you have carry-on bags only then I suggest that you should walk to the Premier Inn.

The premier inn promise is a good nights sleep guaranteed unfortunately this is not possible here. We went to bed and were woken by the footsteps on the floor above, we were then woken again by their footsteps at 430am. This is just bad construction of the building and cant be avoided. Wont stay again

I stayed at the Premier Inn as a room only stop over at Gatwick North. The hotel was perfectly fine - no problems, no frills. It is about five minutes walking from the terminal building - only a problem if the weather is poor or you have mobility issues.
There is another Premier Inn practically attached to the terminal building, but it "probably" costs more!

Stayed in this Premier Inn for one night as flying to Spain from Gatwick this morning. I booked a double room complete with the saver meal deal. Anyone who has time to enjoy a really nice three course meal and a drink wine, beer etc, plus a buffet breakfast in the morning for only £23 is a steal, money well spent. Plus they have a commitment that if you do not have a good nights sleep your room rate is refunded. I was in room 133 on the first floor, I went to bed at 11pm and at 12 midnight the people must have booked in in the room above me. It was like a haunted house the noise from the floor boards. Noise again when they got up in the night at 3pm and again 5pm. I reported this to recetion in the morning and there was no argument and I was refunded the £71 I had paid for the room! That has got to be a big plus for them. The receptionist said that they are aware of the floorboard noise problems and where trying to sort them. Well happy!

The hotel in itself is good, the rooms/bathrooms are perfectly clean, the bed is comfortable and we couldn't hear anything from the outside of the hotel. The only problems we had during our stay is that first, we could hear the people in the room upstairs walk around in their room as if it was an old house made of wood. I guess that wouldn't be so much of a problem in a normal hotels, but on airport hotel you have to expect people to wake up early and when you get woken up at 5am but you only have to get up a lot later, it's not particularly nice. The other problem, which was a lot more annoying, is that we were told the breakfast would be until 10.30. But when we arrived at 10.00, the waitress told us it was already closed. As we already paid for it, we were allowed in the restaurant, but there wasn't really anything left to eat and not one member of staff was helpful that morning. But in overall, it is really cheap for a hotel and it was really practical.

Yet again i have had an excellent visit, especially to the staff Maria, Mark, Anthony and Dan
always a pleasure very welcoming and helpful. The rooms are very comfortable and clean with all thats needed for a comfortable nights sleep, although we have had a n heat wave the staff made sure we all had additional fans to keep us cool. the restaurant food is the best breakfast i have eaten in a hotel and would strongly recommend to everyone, the choice is varied and the the food is fresh and hot which having stayed in various other hotels makes for a very nice surprise

Will visit again

this hotel is very good also as a position close to airport. The only not goood is that the reception of front desk in the airport said to us that the bus was free for the guest, instead when we came in, the driver said that the service for hotel it's not free.
It's so close that it's better walk....hte ticket price is £3 a person !!!!
