“Best night sleep I've ever had”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 4, 2014 via mobile

If you are ever transferring at London gatwick and you need a really nice place to sleep, look no further. This place has everything you need and more.

From London gatwick north terminal you go to bus stop shelter/terminal 8. From here there is a constant shuttle bus running to and from the hotel.

We had forgotten to take out money at the ATM and didn't realise this until the bus arrived. On entry to the bus driver we asked if they accepted cash. The bus driver politely responded no however offered to take us anyway and bring us to the nearest ATM. It was evident that the driver was doing everything possible to make us feel as comfortable we could.

Upon arrival, a young, very professional trainee of the name Manuel served us. He was extremely professional whilst also giving off a friendly aurora. Manuel kindly explained to us that even though it might be a bit loud down in the reception/bar area we will have a room that is in complete silence. Manuel couldn't of been more correct.

That bedroom was great. Noise? None.
Let's not even start talking about the bed. I was reading in the hotel pamphlet that they have recently upgraded their bedding system. Let's just say I have never slept like I did that night. And I wasn't even tired.

Absolutely fantastic beds and a very minimal price.

The airport shuttle costs a little £3 pounds each way and you can decide to pay In full (meaning a return ticket) or just by the one-way.

I will most definitely be returning when transiting through gatwick.

Thank you!

Although only a one night stay, the hotel was great, staff plesant, room great and such a large bed too.
If you need to get a shuttle bus to the airport make sure you advise reception. Shuttle costs £3 one way and takes about 10~ minutes.

Room Tip: Avoid noisy Spanish stayers arriving late at night, having no regard for other guests.

Never stayed at an Ibis Hotel before, but got a good last-minute room the night before an early Gatwick flight, so was curious to know what I'd encounter.

This was a nice find. Small but well designed, warm, comfortable, quiet with an efficient and friendly welcome at the front desk. Comfortable bed and an air-conditioning control that actually worked. Again, a small bathroom, but somehow a roomy shower cabin and good water pressure. Sadly, the look of the dining area/bar (and its menu) didn’t really appeal as a particularly enjoyable or relaxed dining option so chose to walk 5 minutes up the road to the Premier Inn’s adjoining pub - thanks to another TA review for this suggestion.

Would certainly stay here again.

The room I stayed was non smoking, spacious for a budgeted hotel. No free wifi, a charge of £10 will be added. Beds were comfortable and not many choice of TV channels. The location is 10 minutes away from Gatwick Airport.

We booked an overnight stay at this hotel as we had a very early flight to Barcelona in the morning. We were able to book car parking for £5 per night which seemed like a great deal. The hotel is clean, modern and functional. The beds were really comfortable and we thought the 24 hour restaurant offered a great, if slightly limited menu. The sticky toffee pudding was to die for.
We took the shuttle bus to the airport at 5 a.m the next day at a charge of £3 per person. The only disappointment was that no-one told us that it didn't operate on the return journey so we ended up having to get a taxi to the hotel. This cost us £13. As there were 4 of us it cost almost the same as the shuttle but would have been a bad deal for a solo traveller. We have re-booked this hotel for our next city break in March. We felt it got the holiday off to a great start.

Staying for 2 nights (2 separate stays) for work. Have stayed in ibis across Europe and find them very good. This hotel surpassed expectations on both stays; excellent friendly check-in, spotlessly clean and warm room, super comfy new beds and although not everyone's taste I like the bathroom 'pods'.
Free wifi is an excellent facility to offer and beats other premium chains who charge a rip-off amount to use it.
Had a most wonderful nights sleep and left feeling totally relaxed and refreshed. Didn't use restaurant; menu is a bit limited and offers nothing except a bowl of soup if you want a healthy option. However plenty of alternatives close by with a Tesco Express 2 mins walk away.
£5 to park car which annoys me but I got the hotel for a good price and guess they have to make money somewhere along the line.
Much prefer ibis to travelodge/premier inn. A good hotel and certainly would return.
