“A lovely, clean, comfortable and affordable hotel!”
Reviewed June 23, 2013

We chose this hotel solely on the basis of it being within budget and having free wifi. The location does seem a bit out from London, however, having said that, the hotel is connected to a platform to the underground.

You may require the escort of one of the gals at the front desk but the convenience I feel is a huge bonus for this place. I also would like to point out that you are with a block of a decently sized shopping centre. So if ever you wanted to get in some last minute shopping or bits and pieces this is great place to hit up before having to barge your way through the duty free (which I find these days, leaves little to be desired).

The hotel is very clean and aesthetic both out and inside; the rooms are generous with a bathroom is as equally spacious housing tub and a shower.

The bed was also very comfy and clean.

However, to no slight against the hotel, there is pub situated outside the lobby but is connected to the hotel, I forget the name, I think it was called Murphy's or Murray or something to that degree and it is not nice. It looks like it was once a local or at the very least, trying to retain a local feel. It's not by a long shot. The drinks are at Canadian prices-way too outrageous even by tourist/travellers expectations. The food was alright. There isn't much to say-after all it's still just pub food.

I highly recommend either dinning at the grill or going out.

Overall, this a great hotel with excellent service, it's clean and has conveniences that make it worthwhile. Plus, you can't argue with a place where the first class cabin crew of the Fly Emirates stays ;)

Room Tip: We were situated on first floor. There are no stairs you have to take the elevator. Be ware that the...

Stayed at the Arora on work trip.

First impression is that the hotel is very 70's in it decor, tired and needs an update. Rooms are clean and a good size, the bed is a comfortable sleeping bed.

No bells and whistles but just a tad more than a Premier Inn i.e shampoo in a bottle.

Food is pricey and the quality of the food is average at best. There is a little sells everything shop in reception that could sell you enough food to have banana picnics in your room.

Breakfast in the dinning room was good. Staff were very helpful when it came to changing my room due to noise. However afternoon cafe staff were indifferent and you literally had to chase after them. So staff wise a mixed bag experience.

Shopping centre walking distance away.

We stayed here before an early flight from Gatwick and parked the car for 9 nights. We really could not fault the hotel for the price paid, the bedroom was roomy clean and modern, staff were helpful, taxi transfer to terminal was £10, it was worth booking this as the hotel shuttle only runs 1 per hour and is often full and is £3 per person

Spiney and new, shame the iron and trouser press didn't work. No towels at the gym which you don't find out until you get down there. Hotel looks nice inside with that modern atrium feel. Breakfast buffet was adequate and they have a small Avis/Budget outpost who helped me with my car reservations. Good location for Gatwick and business in the surrounding area and if you are in to regular efficient style hotels with perhaps not too much panache, this will work for you

This hotel is in a good location. Near gatwick airport in the town of Crawley. Offers all services and walking distance to shopping mall and restaurant.
Some rooms are located by the train track. Light sleepers might hear trains but more noise from hallways than the outside.
Good hotel, would go back for any of my travels in south London

I booked this hotel through Hotel.con for a reasonable £72 and overall was happy.
Good points. Helpful friendly reception staff, even at 11pm on a Sunday evening. Large rooms and good bathrooms.
Bad points. Very expensive breakfast, expensive parking.

Also

I was hoping to watch the golf and as I passed the bar area notices Sky Sports available, however this was not available in rooms, very disappointing!

And the air conditioning made too much noise all night, despite being switched off.

And there was a far too large gap under the door, letting in significant light into the room which was annoying.

Overall 3 out of 5
