£10 Parking overnight for guests is expensive. We stayed as part of a hotel & parking package booked through APH.com an didn't expect further charges.
We arrived on Friday afternoon on the 8th Feb and drove straight into the underground guest car park as signposted. Reception is 1 floor above the car park & there is no lift - you have to carry your luggage up 18 steps - poor considering a £10 charge.
Check-in was quick & we soon wanted to explore the local high street - this is best done by getting someone from reception to accompany you to open the rear gate onto the train station platform (you room key will let you back in, but not out) & walking over the footbridge to the main station opposite the shopping mall and High Street.
Extra pillows are available for your room, just ask at reception. Our room had a kettle & tea / Coffee and ironing board & iron , also a trouser press.
We walked to the local Witherspoon's (Jubilee Oak) and had a great value meal & drinks etc.
We returned to the hotel via the back gate OK - The following morning we drove to our offsite airport parking. We didn't eat or drink in the hotel but the facilities looked good.
I would have rated 5* if not for the parking charge & no guest lift to the car park.More
