Having stayed here for 2 weeks whilst away on business I will say its the best hotel I have stayed in the Crawley / Gatwick area (also stayed at the Crown Plaza Crawley, Holiday Inn Express Crawley, Hilton Hotel Gatwick South). The hotel is located off the back of Crawley train station and you get private access to the station. Hotel rooms are massive with great TV and fridge etc. Has a bar that shows all the football and very secure with key swipes on alot of the doors. Had a problem with the lights in my room but fixed in no time. Would recommend staying here for a short or longer stay.

I stayed here on Business and found it to be very good, unlike most Gatwick hotels it doesn't feel like a departure lounge with most people just passing through, much better atmosphere. The best of the Gatwick hotels in my opinion, rooms good, location good and the food is very good even if the service can be slow at times. Ask for a room in the new part if you have a choice.

A very modern looking hotel. Very easy to find - just 5 minutes off the motorway. Reception staff were really helpful - nothing was too much trouble. Room was spotlessly clean, bed was very comfortable - nice bathroom with bath and seperate shower cubicle, a good selection of toiletries and fluffy clean towels. Only minus was the In-room tea/coffee which was a bit sparse. The parking was excellent - underground with CCTV so no worries leaving the car while we were away.

I stayed here for a week on business. The hotel is very centrally located, its very clean and looks modern. You can get into the hotel directly from platform 2 of Crawley train station which was good.

Its quite a large hotel and was always very busy when I stayed. Due to its close location to Gatwick airport it had a lot of air passengers and also airline staff (trolley dolleys) staying here.

Room was spacious, very clean, had a fridge, tea & coffee making facilities, iron, good bathroom facilities.

The only gripe was that the restaurant breakfast service was a little poor, with a full hotel the staff find it very hard to cope with a full breakfast room. Poor service, lack of clean tables, slow service of tea/coffee/toast etc. When we did get breakfast it was very good though.

Also the price of food in the restaurant in the evening was quite steep! On checking out the receptionist tried to overcharge me and when questioning my bill she then told me there were gratuities automatically added to my bill (which I asked to be removed as service wasn't that good!).

Overall a nice hotel but would benefit from a few more English speaking staff as I found there to be all foreign staff working here and their English was not great.

This was our 3rd visit and won't be our last. Quick and easy check in/out, rooms very clean with a pleasant nights slept before our flight!!! The bar area has a great atmosphere but maybe needed two people serving as the poor waitress was serving drinks and food on her own!!!!

Hotel easy to find. Modern and clean, next to railway station, a connection is available through the lobby passage area.
Rooms and bathrooms nicely presented.
It was near the end of day before we checked in 2 rooms, very hungry so we went to the bar, found the basic food Pizza Margarita at £14.99 without garnish priced a little hefty, then to find the bar closes at 22.30 a little surprising. it wasn't until the following morning we realised the lounge bar was still open but we were not informed at the time. The service needs a little polish I think. Other than that a pleasant stay, well priced accommodation and reasonably handy for the airport. used hotel meet and greet service which went very smoothly.

Room Tip: ask for a quiet room as the train station is next door.

We arrived at the hotel on Friday evening 31st August & were quickly checked in by a friendly efficient receptionist.

The hotel is clean & modern throughout.

Transfers to the airport are now with an outside company at certain times, so we chose to take a taxi which the hotel booked for us at a cost of £9.

We had the usual standard room each of which have been identical every stay. After settling in we went down to the pub area within the hotel & ate, food is all cooked in the same kitchen whether you eat in the restaurant or bar.

The next morning our taxi was punctual & we arrived at Gatwick south in time for our check-in.

2 weeks later once we had collected our baggage, we made our usual call to Mapke Manor & by the time we arrived outside of the airport our car waiting for us.

Simples ;-)
