Overall, this is a typical budget hotel - limited tea/coffee facilities, polite staff, bad hairdryers, comfy beds. Basically fine as a base, but not somewhere to spend a lot of time.

However, this place takes their 10-7 quiet time very seriously (this is their policy of no noise in corridors or even really in rooms between 10 pm and 7 am). Thus if you are not likely to be sleeping these hours I would recommend finding somewhere else, as the staff can be somewhat hostile at night, and then very noisy mid-morning.

Spent 2 nights at this premier inn last weekend. Easy to find and great to park thanks to the very friendly man who goes round the car park making sure no one parks there who shouldn't, make sure you get your free parking pass from reception!
Receptionist all warm and friendly without exception and we were made very welcome. Rooms typical premier inn but at least you know what you're getting! Everything initially clean and tidy with all amenities you could want. Only exception is that they only give you 1 hand towel unless you go down and ask for another !
We didn't hear any noise from outside and even slept with the window open as the room got quite warm - uncontrollable heating!!!
We went into Shrewsbury by train, station right outside so it's very convenient to get there and other destinations further away such as Birmingham, the hotel is also really close to Telford Town Centre.
Beefeater next door has a nice bar area, didn't try breakfast as at over £8 we didn't think we'd get our money's worth. Went in for dinner one of the evenings but wished we hadn't bothered, food was mediocre and service not great, easy to get a taxi or train out to some where else.
I would have given this hotel a higher rating but we were disappointed with the housekeeping after our first night. The cleaners didn't empty the bins, we had to take it downstairs ourselves, they didn't bother leaving and tea or coffee etc, luckily there was a basket that you could help yourself to in reception and we also had to go down to ask for loo paper as they didn't leave any in the room at all. The room didn't feel very clean after the first night, they obviously rushed round to finish it - we paid the same price for both nights so I would expect the same cleanliness in the room for both times.
Apart from that I couldn't really fault the hotel and would go back mostly because of the location and friendly staff.

Clean, comfortable and friendly. Travelling alone it's good to stay somewhere that feels familiar. . . a home from home. A clock in the room would have been useful as when I woke up in the night I had to fumble to find my mobile phone.

due to business i stayed at this location, the hotel is easy to find if you follow the signs for the railway station as they share the same carpark (so after booking in to the hotel remember to get a pass from the the hotel to place in your vehicle, then it wont cost you anything to park).
I was in room 31 on the first floor which was clean and tidy but very hot, a fan was in the room but noisey, the tv is freeview with all boring channels on, i say this as all i watch is sky.
the beefeater pub is next door as there is nothing to do in telford, the food looked the same in any beefeater so we got a taxi costing £5.80 to a local village called shifnal which is excellent 6 local pubs next to each other and loads of places to eat.
breakfast is in the beefeater and the lady who served us karen was a star, a catherine cookson fan and very helpful, breakfast was average as you cant just help yourself to the cooked food which is what is advertised. premier inn is a premier inn basic but clean.

Room Tip: all rooms are hot and the hotel is surrounded by major rooms.

Everything is perfect, quality, prices, people at the office, a guard in the parking during the day, fabulous breakfasts, possibility to go by feet to Telford Center or to the station, it can't be better !
