I am fortunate to only live 3 miles from the Wrekin, Apart from making a scenic view from my home it is also a good place for walks, although there are paths to follow, they are long and windy and in some places quite steep.
Half way up (or down) depending on your fitness level there is a cafe that does drinks (and toilet) and lets you have that well earned sit down.
Although here is not much to look at on the way up, the views from the top are quite breathtaking on a clear day and there is a circular table map on the top showing all the surrounding towns and mountain ranges in view.
At certain times of the year there are activities carried out by fund raisers, such as 'Carrying a Barrel' is a good one to watch, best place to view is close to the finish line.
Not suitable for people with walking difficulties and sensible shoes are recommended.
