Really clear path, lots of fantastic views on the way up, and perfect for any pace (we saw everyone from energetic toddlers to hardcore cyclists make their way up very happily). At the top we wandered over to the rocks and spotted some deer which was a pleasant surprise.

A flying trip to Shropshire. Was told the best way to see everything was to 'Climb The Wrekin'.
Having read previous reviews I was expecting a more difficult walk. But it was very achievable. Took 2 children aged 11 and 7 up and they even ran some of it. It has sections of steepness and some flat areas. Once up the top the views are great. Try and take a drink and snack if you can and you'll get a chance to rest and enjoy the outlook. To be honest, for me it was harder walking down (much harder on the knees).
A good free afternoon out - nothing not to like.

It's worth the short hike to get to the top of the Wrekin. The footpaths are well made and whilst a bit of a climb it's a lovely walk, partly up through woods, with some distractions for the kids of ropes and tyre swings, and then out onto the trail across the top to the trig point.

This has been on my doorstep for the last 15 years and I've only just visited it properly. A good walk up taking around 45 minutes and you're rewarded with spectacular views. Well worth the effort and I'm making a point of going back as soon as I can?
