For Swindon this place is buzzing, normally it's quite quiet, except at the weekends 8pm onwards.. Been there for several times for drinks and food, both very reasonably priced. Place is quite a good atmosphere compared to other pubs nearby, lots of seating both downstairs and upstairs.
However, I do find the staff a bit "not there".. One time on a curry night I was going to order a certain dish, they did not have that in stock (disappointment! If you don't have it, don't print it on your curry night menu) Then the staff suggested I try another one, mentioning a name that did not show on the menu, so wasn't very useful. There weren't many options on curry nights, in my opinion.
Another time we ordered pitchers, and a different bar staff made us a completely different pitcher, and it was only 2/3 full, we didn't say anything, guessing it was just a one-off...
Still, cheap food and drink, good for a weekend pub night, in Swindon anyway.
