The food was lovely as always with plenty of choice and to a very high quality. The service is efficient and friendly though we did have to pour our own wine once.

The puddings were yummy and there was a lovely selection of cheese and biscuits .

I will be back again

from the moment we arrived to thunder and lightening, when they came to help bring the luggage in before the rain came down, the staff were friendly and welcoming. The evening meal we found to be very good value with a good choice. The setting is good and quiet, a pity the rain stopped us from exploring the grounds. An ideal location to explore the area.

A family voucher turned into a blissful three days at the hotel. Lovely surroundings, very comfortable room, quality food presented beautifully in the airy conservatory. Perhaps, most important of all, was the exceptional level of service by all staff. Friendly, welcoming, attentive and able to anticipate needs. An extremely well run, happy establishment.

Room Tip: No tip needed, top quality at all levels.

My wife and I stayed for two nights and enjoyed a wonderful dinner on the first evening. We were then joined by our extended family for an afternoon tea to celebrate a birthday. The age range was from 6 months to 60's and it was such a perfect setting. The service was fantastic, the food was lovely and everyone had a great time exploring the grounds and playing croquet. A two year old summed it up perfectly: "I'd like to come here again!"

We stayed the one night on the 13th July but from the moment we arrived for our afternoon tea, the staff could not be more helpful and gave us such professional but personal attention.
It was an absolute joy to stay at The Pear Tree. We had a wonderful meal in the evening with some guests and the food was 1st class!
Beautiful and a credit to the area.
Thank you to everyone at The Pear Tree.

We've been to the Pear Tree many times and have stayed twice this year. We like it so much we've booked it for a special family and friends event later in the year. It has everything: attentive owners; lovely staff; soothing, comfortable rooms; excellent food, and enchanting grounds.

We booked a family Sunday lunch at the pear tree on 23/6 having never been to this hotel restaurant and we booked up purely on the look of the place and previous reviews. We were delighted with the premises, the front door was opened for us as we approached, the service was impeccable and nothing was too much trouble. The food was good quality and well presented, and the premises were well maintained. The gardens that you look out over from the conservatory were beautifully maintained by the owners and full of summer colour. Highly recommend this hotel.
