Food good basic pub grub, but staff always very helpful. I liked the new idea of help yourself to coffee, ideal when meeting up with friends who you tend to sit and have a good chat with.

Visited at lunch time on a Wednesday, quite busy but got served without a wait.
Food was tasty, typical pub grub menu, with a wide variety of choice.
I wouldn't say the food was anything special, but for the price, what do you expect? They offer 2 desserts for £2.. you can't go expecting luxury!
Would go back again for a cheap and cheerful lunch.

Mixed feelings about this venue.
On a whole it was ok but I feel with a bit of improvement this could be a really nice restaurant.
I had half a roast chicken with some salad so there wasn't much that could go wrong with it. It was however a pretty small chicken with some not so fresh salad with it. It was well cooked and tasty thought.
I was with 10 other people who all had mixed emotions about the other dishes but mainly that they wasn't very good. All the pasta dishes were pre prepared and not much presentation to them.
No ones steak was cooked right and again the portions were so small everyone ended up having a desert.
The deserts I must say were far better than the mains, but after a disappointing main mean there is nothing better than a desert to make it better!
Price I thought didn't match the quality of food but on a whole not a disaster.
Service come with a smile, there was an good atmosphere as it was busy and we were able to pre book our party which was helpful as we had so many

Eaten here before several times with a large group of 13 and not overly impressed by food or service but have moved a few minutes down the road so walked up the other day for a meal. As it was a Friday had to wait for a table as didn't book. Wasn't to long to wait in the end and meal arrived in good time. 2 of us had veg lasagne, there was plenty and side salad was dressed in a nice vinaigrette, lovely chips. Other meal was mixed grill and no complaints there. Would walk up and eat again as it's local now. Just think they tend to struggle more with larger tables.

Went for a meal with the family and really enjoyed the food. Not a bad atmosphere and we didn't feel rushed. WOuld go back again but not too often.
