I chose B&B for this visit because, in truth, the more traditional offerings in Swindon leave much to be desired. So I did some searching and found what turned out to be a little gem.
Its small, only 4 rooms, but each are comfortable and well appointed. The fact it has a lot of repeat visitors is a good sign. There is more than adequate parking and its location, half a mile from M4 J15 and right next to the Western General Hospital makes it convenient and very easy to find. (Dont take the Google Earth location, thats half a mile out - this is literally 25 yards past the Hospital junction coming from the motorway)
Breakfast is un-fussy but Kenny is always happy to give you whatever you want. It makes an excellent base for touring around the area. The Cotswolds are just an hour or less away, Bristol and Bath; Salisbury; Stonehenge; Newbury; Oxford and even Reading about the same - so it has a great position.
No evening meals but the breakfast room is available for in-coming take-aways etc. There's a microwave, plates and cutlery so along with many local restaurants that side of any stay is covered.
In price conscious times more of us are re-assessing their choices and places like Kingsbridge House will certainly become popular because what they offer is certainly more than good value for money.
