“A Nice Place to Eat”
Reviewed October 6, 2012

The Harvester is unusual in being purposely built as a Harvester restaurant, rather than converted from a pub and it works very well. The menu is varied and offers good value for money and of course there's the help yourself salad bar. The staff are very efficient and friendly, but the restaurant can get deservedly busy at times, so you may have to wait a while, if you have a larger party. My high rating relates to the quality compared to the price, so please don't expect Michelin Star quality.

“Very good”
Reviewed September 14, 2012

Considering the car park is always busy (and they've extended it), they seat you quickly, and get your drinks promptly. Food is good, and varied, and the salad bar constantly being stocked. Good for kids as they get activity sheet..!

“Busy but fab service”
Reviewed September 14, 2012

honestly, its a harvester, the food is good as other harvesters, but the service here just seems to be faster than others even though they are very busy. I often recommend to others.

“Harvester at Blunsdon - I had no idea it was there!”
Reviewed September 6, 2012

I met up with some friends and we visited the Harvester at Blunsdon.

Don't miss your turning though, head to David Lloyd / Motorola.

This venue does not take bookings, so you turn up and wait. We waited at a busy bar for a table, which had only one member of staff behind the bar, so we hadnt actually got any drinks by the time our table was ready.

Our table was good, in a little alcove with comfortable bench seats. It felt quite private, which was perfect for a catch up with old friends.

Our waitress was amazing, very cheerful and helpful. Her name was Chloe. We wanted for nothing. We were offered complimentary salads, which are self service, while we pondered the menu. There is a large selection of meals available, mostly grill style with sauce and sides.

The food was excellent, and the fish and chips came on a plate, with a 'newspaper' underneath them, a really nice touch. The portions are quite large, especially good value.

I cannot fault the service or the food, both top notch. I would suggest if you cannot park (the car park is small and gravelly - no high heels!) then you could park at David Lloyd which is opposite. The only down side is nowhere to stand or sit while waiting for a table, I expected a sitting area.

We arrived at 7.30, and by 8.30 it was almost empty. I expect this is used by people on their way home from work. We visited midweek.
