My wife and I stayed here as part of a lastminute.com spa deal.

We arrived and the greeting was warm and genuine.

We initially booked the standard room, which was nice enough but we decided to upgrade to an upper deck room for an extra £20. I have to say it was well worth the money. Bigger bed, sky, massive room and other extras.

The only complaint I have is that the room was very cold, until 4pm when they decided to turn the heating on.

The inclusive meals were excellent however you have to pay extra for sides. Drinks were quite pricey but as expected.

The spa treatments were OK but I've had better. We paid extra for more treatments but should have just stuck with the inclusive one.

The leisure facilities were great and plenty to do.

I would say that if you stayed here as part of a deal you'd be very happy. But people who pay full price may have reason to pick at a few things.

Decent hub in Swindon to meet for business - warm surroundings, free WiFi, onsite Starbucks, pub and restaurant, as well as great staff and service.

Its also a great place if you ever need to work remotely.

I stayed there after having a great experience in the Leeds severe, who have great food, wine, gym and a comfortable environment. In Swindon, rooms unclean, floor smelt of food. Very noisy. The food in the sports bar, expensive and over rated. On the last night I was there last week, I had to put up with listening to a young waitress explaining to a colleague in the bar, how bad the hotel treated her and how she wanted to cry. Then proceeded to taker her nail varnish off in the bar. A nice smell when you are trying to eat. Expensive sand disappointing! Oh and breakfast, slow service, cold toast and chef nowhere to be seen at prime time!!!

We stayed here recently for one night whilst visiting relatives. We opted for an Upperdeck Room which at £69 for B&B was very well priced.

The bed was huge and extremely comfortable. The tea and coffee facilities were great as were the choice of toiletries.

On the negative side, the room was so dark. We had to have all (including the bathroom) lights on even in the middle of the day. There really is no need for such limited lighting. Drying my hair was particularly difficult as I couldn't actually see my reflection in the mirror through the gloom! The room was also very cold when we arrived and took about two hours to heat up using the Air Con/blower.

The room and hallways etc are looking a little scuffed and tired but the service was very good indeed with pleasant staff at reception.

The bar was OK but definitely not somewhere to go for a cosy drink as it's a sports bar and therefore has TVs blaring out.

All in all, good value and a decent 'budget' style option.
