There are no Indian restaurants in Swindon that I haven't eaten in. This one is a winner if you want to eat in Old Town. Great menu, great food and the newer upstairs restaurant area is nicely decorated. The Sunday buffet is the best around - certainly beats the ripoff bombay lounge round the corner.

Until recently this restaurant was totally below street level.

There is a good selection on the menu. The food is delicious and is presented beautifully. The staff are attentive without being in your face. Wine is well priced for a restaurant, we paid £13 for a bottle of Merlot.

Will not leave it too long before returning.

Booked here for a meal for eight of us. The food was absolutely lovely and can't fault it at all. It was a Saturday night so we expected it to be busy anyway.

We arrived and were asked to wait in the bar for a while, which was quite awkward as there was a table being used for food there so it was cramped as we felt we were imposing on the couple sat there as it didn't really seem appropriate for us to be milling around the small space with them trying to eat.

When we sat down to the table, we got served with poppadoms quite quickly but we have to ask (after about 20 minutes) to have our order taken. We then had to ask again when the guy sent over went to the wrong table! The food was lovely but I was surprised that there weren't any plate warmers put down so you had to have all of the food in one go to get the best out of it as it would have been cold to go back to.

We then had to wait some time after we'd asked for the bill but once we had it, we felt like we were being pushed out a bit, although the restaurant was now quite empty.

Like I said, the food was lovely but the service could have been improved a lot.

We visited Biplob and a sunday evening and had a really good evening as always. We ordered from the main menu, not from the buffet, food was very fresh and delicious. Service was attentive and quick. Including a couple of drinks, it was very reasonably priced. Can't really agree with some of the reviews as we have been to Biplob on at least six occasions and consider it the best in old town. Cant understand the comment about Biplob having a monopoly on Indian restaurants, I think there are at least 5 others within 200 metres of each other! Some monopoly!!
