“Family Orientated”
Reviewed November 7, 2013

If you want to go to a busy pub full of children and noise this is the place to go. To much for me. An adult only child free area would improve things and there is enough space to do it. The food is generally ok and the choice is good.

“2 4 1 What a deal!!!!”
Reviewed October 31, 2013

It's all about the timing with this restaurant - If you go at peak times expect a long wait but go at Noonish and the service is very good.

Ordered the mixed grill and 10 oz steak on 2-4-1.

With 2 unlimited refills of diet coke and free top up chips the bill came to £19.89.

Bearing in mind the mixed grill consisted of steak, gammon, sausage and chicken the FVM is terrific.

On top of this the food was cooked as we asked and the waiting staff were attentative and efficient.

This restaurant is 30 miles from where we live but we are regular visitors, as it is always VFM and quick service

“Does what it says on the tin...”
Reviewed October 30, 2013

Friendly staff and decent food - exactly what you would expect from a Beefeater. It's not in the most glamorous of locations (Jct 16 of the M4) but it's the only Beefeater in Swindon - as a result it can be very busy, generally if you don't book in advance, don't expect to get a table (ridiculous really as in most other large towns/cities there is always space in the local Beefeater).

Nice looking place but terrible service. Sunday roast was disappointing the carrots were raw and found a hair in the Yorkshire pudding. Steaks are not cooked properly.

“Hour wait or sit in the bar”
Reviewed October 29, 2013

had a choice of waiting for an hour or sitting in the bar - on a friday night say no more. When our meals arrived my medium steak was cold and blue in the middle, im no chef but definitely not right. The waitiers were running riot so I didnt bother sending it back. That was the only quabble really, the rest of the meals were good. The staff did work very hard, I think they would benefit from a couple more staff working on busy evenings.
